Actual big trees and grass in some areas! Sits down in a secret little hole next to I-17; sites are terraced on a gentle slope. First two nights at side of park farthest from fwy. FHU in all main spots. Noise not bad at all. Hosts tried hard to weasel things around so we wouldn’t have to move to overflow third night, but couldn’t swing it. They were so accommodating with everything. Two overflow spots—water and power ONLY—one for small rig, other for larger. We have a 35’ 5th wheel so had spot broadside to fwy and literally five steps to laundry room door w/ bathrooms around corner. This was awesome since we had to do laundry and had no sewer hookup. Only ever saw one other person at the building. (Played my ukulele in there while I waited for wash to get done). Only bad thing about the overflow spots is they sit up at the back of park above the cinder block wall so the fwy noise was horrific. Earplugs (or noise reduction earmuffs, preferably) are a necessity if you want any sleep. Again, this is the upper overflow/pool/laundry area ONLY. Not blaming the park. We made the choice!

  • Great park for an overnight or a base to explore Cottonwood and the area’s national monuments

Sue was very friendly and helpful during the reservation (phone only) and arrival experiences. The park is very well laid out and was very clean. Sue and the staff had decorated the park entrance for Halloween, giving it a very homey feel. All utilities worked well. All roads and sites in the park are gravel. Our site had a small concrete pad adjacent to where the RV was parked. This is a nice to place personal chairs, etc as there are no picnic tables or grills. Although close to the interstate, we did not find the road noise to be bothersome. This park is big rig friendly. We would definitely stay here again. It is a great value.

  • Great! Wonderful camp host Sue is the best!

During our month we enjoyed the area from Camp Verde (Udderly Devine is a great restaurant in town) to Cottonwood, Prescott and Flagstaff, lots to do and see! The hosts keep the place super clean and nice, they all work hard to keep everything from the grounds to the pool and hot tub to the laundry area in working order, thanks Jim! They even decorated the grounds for Halloween. There are a few spots for overnight stays but mostly full timers or snow birds. Thanks for a great month!

I was here with a friend to explore the beautiful Verde Valley. We really enjoyed the convenient location to I-17, the town of Camp Verde, and Cliff Castle Casino.Starting with the entrance sign, you get the feeling this isn't your typical cookie-cutter campground. At first glance, everything appeared clean and well-maintained. We arrived late in the afternoon and had to call the posted number for assistance checking. Within a couple of minutes, the cheerful owner of the park appeared on her golf cart to handle the transaction and led us to our spot.Over the length of our short stay, we'd come to appreciate the calm and peaceful vibe reminiscent of a bygone era. Sure, there's an interstate buzzing nearby, but the breeze blowing through the treetops nearly drowns out the hum of vehicles cruising through. The hookups were easy to access and worked flawlessly. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and comfortable deck area. The clean, hot showers and spotless restrooms were icing on the cake. What's not to love? The only downside for me is that since I'm still a youngster by RVing standards (53 y-o) I had to pay the full $60 nightly rate.

Friendly staff all around. Escorted us to our pull through site. Very nice pool and laundry worked well. The only downside was being right next to the busy highway but with the fan on we did not hear much noise at night. $30 rate is the daily senior one.

It is a little off the normal route to Montezuma's Castle but is worth the effort.
