It seemed to be very good for families as there were many children who seemed to be enjoying themselves. The water, electric, and sewer worked well. The standard sites were extremely tight with each person’s sewer hookup in the next person’s living area. The larger sites looked much better and would probably have given a different perspective. A good campground for families. A good campground if you spring for a larger site.

This campground is in a great location to Smoky Mountain National Park. There were some nice spacious sites! Ours wasn’t one of them. We happened to be squeezed in between 2 people that liked to smoke and have fires all day. It was on the river which was nice but would have preferred a nicer site. Cell service wasn’t very good either.

With beautiful wooded sites, lots of ammentities, and sitting on the front porch of the National Park, this campground makes a great basecamp for the Gatlinburg area. This is a family-oriented campground and will have a lot of kids (and therefore noise) during the usual school breaks. The camp store is well supplied and reasonably priced.I worked while staying here and the wifi was hit or miss, but noticeably worse after a windstorm came through. Cell phone service is poor, even with a booster. Photo added with campground WiFi and VZ speeds. (See update below)Update 4/11/2022 Picked a site closer to the office and got excellent t WiFi speeds with 91.9 Mbps download and 19.9 Mbps upload. Video calls on Teams were flawless. My first visit during fall of 2021 was quiet. It was a bit noisy with kids during spring break.

The river rolling through camp was a highlight, as the dogs waded around to beat the heat. The other big draw is the convenient base area to explore. There's even a trolley to Gatlinburg, however! We were going to take the trolley into town and saw other people waiting. They told us they'd missed it the night before, so they arrived 15 minutes early this time. Long story short, the trolley was 30 minutes late. The trolley to return was full, and they only come around every 30-45 minutes. Not a complaint about the campground, but beware. Lots of tent campers, a youth group, while we were there. We would return here.

We stayed here while visiting the national park. Our toddler had the best time. Everything was clean and well cared for. Our little one loved the small beach by the river and splashed around for hours while watching the older kids tube.

The campground is beautiful, clean and peaceful. Probably got some much needed, deep sleep. The creek that circle the property is pretty and made for a great mid work day cold water plunge! The RV sites are all along the parameter with tent camping in the middle. While the property is large and some spots can be close together, it was no issue for us. People come and go a lot in this campground so we got to meet some new people every day. The staff was super friendly and when I called them to tell them I would miss the first night, Patty was so sweet and gave us directions to go around the town to not get stuck in traffic. About 30-50 min drive to the Smoky Mtn park since traffic can be terrible in Gatlinburg. The best camp WiFi I have used and used it for 3 days of work doing zoom calls etc. Att-We got shout 1 bar of LTE at site 52 and had great download speeds but less than 1mbs up which made it useable to tether. However, in spot 1 the reception was much stronger and I was able to hotspot to work and stream Netflix.

It’s very family friendly, with a playground and activities in the center. And our kids really liked splashing around in the creek. But the campsite is quite noisy, with machinery, large rigs coming in and out, kids screaming, backup alerts, etc. Almost nobody was wearing a mask or seemed to be distancing, which was worrying. Despite the 5mph speed limit, cars were zipping around. And we found day-old dog poop on our campsite!! Probably wouldn’t come back.

The Pigeon River that surrounds the campground is beautiful. Our site backed up to the river. There is a swim hole, swings, and a large and clean bath house. We really enjoyed our time here. It's a little drive from Gatlinburg but that was fine for us. It's very close to an entrance to the Smokies with hiking trails and river views/falls. Although we are retired, we noticed that there were lots of kids and it's safe for them to bike ride. The driveway was gravel and it was easy to do my walking. The only negative is the rate. No one is allowed in the camp store. The store items are outside on tables and food items are in a notebook.

Great place. We have a 30 foot mobile RV and lucked out and got a great spot beside the little pigeon river which the kids loved. Staff are super friendly and the facilities clean and top notch and kids and the dog all had a blast. They even had internet that worked well as there was no TMobile signal otherwise

Site #61 allowed us to park our coach and pitch a tent for extended family. Great location with tubing on the Little Pigeon River that goes around this island campground. New ownership several years ago has really improved everything according to some neighbors that have come here for many years. Playground, dog park, swim beach, and a pavilion gathering area. WiFi boosters are throughout the campground. Cable is also provided. If you are approaching from I-40, take Rt 321. Rt 73 and the Foothills Parkway both are quite curvy with lots of ups and downs.

First, being situated on an island 75% of their sites are right on the Little Pigeon River which creates a wonderful ambiance. Second, their bathhouse is hands down the nicest we've ever experienced at an RV park. The inside looks like a hotel bathroom with tiled showers and stone accents including a shower niche to put your shampoo and conditioner! Lastly, the wifi was the fastest we've experienced at any RV park. Lots of RV parks say they have wi-fi, but when you try to use it it is slow as molasses - not this one! So much to love and less than 10 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and the Smokies! Would highly recommend.
