Not a place we will likely come back to. Needs some TLC at sites and around the grounds. Everything was a bit soft and saturated. Felt like we were right on top of neighbors. Lots of long term rentals there.

Sure extremely popular areas like south Florida or any beaches where real estate is expensive we expect crowded campsites. But located in a rule area one would expect a large campsite. We’ll all the large sites go to full time residents and us visiting with Thousand Trails Membershio are stuck on rows of over crowded muddy sites.Other than that the campground is a nice one and if they would provide a nicer campsite I would give them 5 stars

Water pressure is a bit weak topping out at 45psi. And we actually had a nearly gross situation with the sewer which we found out was a simple holding tank. The seasonal spots are not connected to city sewer yet so they are just holding tanks below the ground. The honey bucket wagon has to pump them out on a regular basis and apparently our site was full and not pumped before we arrived. We had been boondocking for a few days so we opened our grey tanks first just to make sure the connection was solid. A few seconds later we realized nothing was going down. A quick call to the office and the honey wagon came by not long later, so A+ for quick service.

  • We enjoyed the quiet during the week and made new friends on the weekends.

We have a 40ft 5th wheel and enjoyed the extra space of our site, room for both the Ram and Hannah Montana! The one downside is the sewer. There is a tractor that travels around the park with a "honey" wagon attached. Our site's sewer filled up twice during our stay. The first time I noticed when emptying the black tank - the drain in the ground bubbled then a stream started running. It was stopped immediately... Then came promptly to empty. The second time, my wife was showering and I happened to be on the off door side. Another stream formed... A call was made to front desk - again they came right away to empty it out. We don't shower every day - but do wash up. Our black tank usually last 15 to 18 days... Wifi is good here, cell service was ok - we did not have 5 bars of ATT more like 2 and then 4 with WeBoost. Overall, this is our second stay and would stay here again. The staff is friendly and nice. Short drive into Washington is a must. Beautiful walk along the river, wonderful restaurants and shops. There are major shopping chains in Washington for all your needs.

Stayed in site D10.It's a very large campground with mostly permanent residents. The section where we stayed was reserved for nightly/weekly sites. Most of the sites were sand/dirt under tall trees. The ground is a bit unlevel with tree roots but we pretty easily found a good spot. It had been raining so some of the site was a bit soggy and we opted to back in instead of pulling through to avoid some mud at the back. Definitely more of a "camping" style park rather than a "resort" but not bad at all.The pool was closed due to coronavirus restrictions, but we spent our time out by the lakes fishing.A Walmart Supercenter is just 15 minutes up the road in the small town of Washington.

  • Pass right through.

The bathrooms would be trashed (ex: feces left in the toilet on numerous occasions, toiletries left behind all over bathroom, toothpaste smeared on the mirrors). The bathrooms were actually nice, clean and A/C. But the type of people that would come through just treated everywhere like their garbage can. There was litter all over the ground, the pool area was filled with trash all the time. Empty cans/bottles, broken sunscreen bottles, etc. People were always smoking EVERYWHERE! Even in the fenced in pool area where there are numerous signs that say nonsmoking. There is a shed with pool chemicals that is clearly posted NO SMOKING. People were even smoking IN the pool. It was unfortunate. The main purpose of this place is for boat access. People with boats will love it. The sites do have a cement slab which was nice. Some sites do not have sewer but the employees will come around and pump out your tanks for free whenever requested. The only problem with that is that the tractor is loud and it smells!! The ants are atrocious because of the sandy soil. We had to get two sets of bug sprays since my peppermint and cinnamon oils weren’t enough to combat it. We literally founds hundreds inside our RV.There is a ice cream truck that drives through about three times a week as well as a food truck that is always parked by the pool. We didn’t buy anything but the food truck looked decent. The city of Washington is very cute and worth exploring. The downtown is raight on the river. Overall, I just don’t think this place is really worth the money.

I was trying to get ahead of some spring storms but needed to stop driving. My first choice was booked up for the night. I paid a ridiculous price to attend a party where I didn't know a soul. This is summer camp. Had that been my mood and intention it would have been great - but I was surrounded by three different groups blasting three different genres of music for hours as golf carts whizzed too and fro. I was parked near the "kitchen" which was a tent set up frying everything from pickles to twinkies with the fryer stinking up a large portion of the surrounding area. It was not my idea of relaxing. All of this and no internet, add in some relatively obnoxious ladies working the desk and voila - never again. It gets 2 stars, rather than one because my sight was level and there was a security gate.
