I travel with a mobility scooter. There was no problem getting into the shower area as it is ADA. Very important to me. Clean showers and dressing area. I don't remember what $$ was paid but it was comparable. Access was easy as it is next to the freeway. Gated. I guess that was nice. We have never stayed in a gated RV park before. (We are from NW MT and usually camp in the woods ;). ) Noise from the freeway was new but we were really tired so it wasn't a problem. We will stay here again if we ever return to the area.

Check-in was painless and efficient, with someone guiding you to your site. It's a gated community, which can give you a feeling of security. The sites are well marked and the pedestals and water and sewer hookups all worked well. There is a cable TV hookup at each site. Each site has a picnic table. They have a dedicated dog "park" for dogs to be off-leash and play. There is a gift shop connected to the office with basic RV supplies, and you can buy bags of ice. So why are we disappointed and probably not going to return?Because although it advertises itself as a "RV Resort", just about everything resort-like is broken or worn down. The grounds are FULL, and I do mean FULL of goat head stickers. Even walking your dog on the streets will result in multiple stickers in their paws. The laundry room has 8 washers, but only 5 were in service at any given time, and the machines themselves are very old, very beat up, and need to be replaced. Ditto the dryers. Even the ones that were working had warped or cracked doors. There is supposed to be a second laundry room attached to the bathhouse, but it was completely closed and unavailable. The dog "park" desperately needs a load of fresh gravel and fence work to make it attractive. It's a small area, but it is large enough for small dogs to get a little bit of exercise. Forget about large dogs. And there are no other dog designated areas in the rest of the campground. Two of the automated exit gates to the park broke down on one of the days we were there (during the Balloon Fiesta), which meant that no one could exit. It was a Sunday, and the gates weren't repaired until sometime on Monday. All traffic had to re-route to the one remaining gate. They advertise that they have a pool and hot tub; however, neither are open. (Note: they weren't open when we were here the first time, in 2018.)There is a long list of restrictions concerning your campsite, all designed to keep the area from looking trashy. The list of prohibited items includes clotheslines and dog kennels or dog fences.. And yet, we were parked between two long term residents who had old wrecked office chairs outside their trailer, and rickety porches that had peeling paint, along with tall weeds growing all over their sites. I filled an entire large yard trash bag one day pulling weeds from the space around our site!We were staying here the week of the Balloon Fiesta, and because of that, paid an exorbitant nightly rate. This is NOT unusual for any campground during the Fiesta - they all raise their rates during that week. But because of the advertised amenities, we bit the bullet and reserved a site for 10 days. We originally made our reservations in 2019, for the 2020 Fiesta, which was of course cancelled due to COVID. The campground graciously postponed our reservation until 2021, despite their very strict no refund policy (very clearly stated). The staff we interacted with onsite were always pleasant, but were singularly unhelpful when it came to basic information about the surrounding community. No one knew where the nearest WalMart was, or could suggest a grocery store, or even where the nearest post office was. Really?Other reviewers have mentioned the road noise - the campground is close to Hwy 40, and there is noise, but that wasn't a big problem for us. This campground is corporate owned, and it appears that the corporation isn't willing to invest a penny more than they have to to keep the place up. Very disappointing, and I do seriously doubt that we will ever stay at this place again.Wifi wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either. We used our phones as hotspots and got along just fine.
Some road noise, but very nice park!

It was just outside of ABQ with gated access so it was a nice safe feeling. Small dog park was a bonus. Friendly campers all around. Decent service and free WiFi. Laundry room had a change machine and open 24 hours. Clean shower rooms. My boys were excited by a free breakfast and pool but both were closed from covid.

After speaking with and getting disconnected three times with your 800 number, being left out in the heat as well as in the dark we called and spoke with your emergency maintenance man. He provided the gate code and a spot for us for the night. Half way through the night the power stopped working...essentially we paid for a parking spot. The next morning we went to the office, after a 20 minute wait we were told that we needed to move to make way for someone else that reserved that spot (horrible customer service after screwing up our reservation). Additionally, "due to COVID" the park did not have enough staff to operate any of the amenities NOT EVEN BASIC amenities like the bathrooms and showers (we stayed in four other RV parks during that week, not one of them used the "COVID excuse" to not provide what was paid for).We were then moved to another spot and again the power went out...this time we called the emergency maintenance man and we were told regardless of the 85 degree heat, that maybe it would be fixed that night but most likely not; again not even offering the most basic customer service of providing a spot that had working electricity. So again for a second night we essentially paid for a parking spot. Out of our entire cross country trip this reservation was the only one to allow us to pay for an experience at your park and not even deliver what we could have done for free in a Walmart parking lot.As a business owner myself, I found it completely unprofessional to advertise services that you knowingly could not provide, and disparaging that this business would be so willing to take our money and not take the most basic of customer service steps of having someone reach out to inform us of the lack of basic services available.Request a refund, got zero response.

It is VERY convenient to the main sights in Albuquerque - Old Town, Petroglyph National Monument, Balloon Museum, etc It is obviously very convenient to I-40 as well. Unfortunately, there are few better options if you're traveling I-40 or visiting Albuquerque. The wifi at the camp works very well, and is even useful for light streaming. The bath/shower house is closed "due to Covid". The advertised breakfast is also closed "due to Covid". Next time in Albuquerque, I would look harder for a better place to stay.

On Election Day we connected the TV cable and could not get a decent cable connection. We went and purchased another cable figuring ours was bad. No difference. At 4:30pm, I called the office which was closed (??) but did provide an emergency number. I called that number and a very helpful gentleman came out and tested said yes, there was a problem but he could not fix it. Non streaming service either. So we drove into Albuquerque to catch the news. Same thing for the next few days. Site was very noisy at night. Semis passing by throughout the night. While my husband went to the office to collect a package, he asked if we could have a some type of discount because the cable didn’t work and we had to go into town to catch the latest election news. The courteous woman at the desk said she would check and someone would get back to us. The following morning I received this rather rude text massage from Robert (presumed to be the Manager or Owner): ‘This is Robert at the front office American RV resort. Had a note on my mailbox that you were asking for some kind of a discount because the cable was not coming in. I cannot give you a discount because we do not charge you for the cable that's a free service we provide and if it works it works if it doesn't we attempt to get it fixed but there will be no discounts given and I would appreciate if we don't bother my staff about this issue any longer. I have already told them there will not be a discount given so therefore you will not be getting a discount and please do not bother my staff about this issue with you.’My first instinct was to call Robert and let him know how inappropriate his message was. After my husband and I discussed, we decided to wait until we were leaving to pursue the matter as if Robert didn’t like our discussion, he would probably ask us to leave the park.Overall, this is a nice park, but so are many other nice parks in the area (and probably not as noisy). We will not be staying here again as we prefer to visit parks where your patronage is appreciated.

We got a call the morning we arrived to tell us about this and asked if we had any questions. We were in Site 206 in the recently renovated section of the park. In the older section of the park, there were several seasonals, but everything was maintained and everyone we saw was friendly and happy to be there. The park is right next door to I-40, so there is constant traffic noise during the day and night. Most of the amenities of this park where closed (pool, hot tub, playground, and complimentary breakfast) due to Covid-19. Complementary WiFi was available (but we didn’t use it), AT&T was 4 bars 5G, there were lots of over-the-air TV stations and our hotspot with a MiFi antenna gave us good speed for streaming. They even had recycling (paper, plastic, cardboard) here too!

We live in Albuquerque, and just wanted to take our little Class A out to stretch her legs and let us have something resembling a getaway! The park is very in tune to the Coronavirus. Essentially, it's become a non-touch park...the gift shop/front desk is closed and all the transaction was done by phone, with our papers waiting for us on arrival. We asked for a spot with a little distance from others and they easily accommodated with a lovely pull through spot with a picnic table, some grass and some nice trees to either side. Some of the long term campers were still pretty close to each other, but based on signage we saw around, they are working to clear folks out and to be open primarily for overnight guests, which will keep the crowds WAY down.Needless to say, we didn't need to use the laundry or restrooms/showers. There are restrooms & showers in the main building and there is also a freestanding facility in the middle of the resort. There is a pool and hot tub...neither looks terribly impressive, but not bad either. The overall park was clean, and the leaves were just starting to burst out on the trees, so it made for a nice spot.Electric was in good shape. The pad was pretty level, so we had little trouble setting up. The water hookup is below ground so that was a little bit awkward. We enjoyed sitting at the metal picnic table on the bit of grass we had, and I used our new portable grill for the first time! So why not five stars? Well, I'd do 4.5 if I could. The water hookup is a slight deterrent . And as others have said, the noise from the interstate is there when you're in bed, for sure. We were in the middle of the resort, but we could hear the traffic all the time. It is NOT terrible...a bit of "white noise" perhaps...but if you think this might be difficult for you, please be prepared. Although most of Albuquerque's nicer RV parks ARE right along the interstate, so it'll be tough to avoid! We had a nice stay, and look forward to a return visit during this time of Coronavirus.

I would not park my trailer within the city limits at all unless you want to be broken into or have your vehicle stolen. Albuquerque itself is a dangerous crime infested city. Between January 1-13 428 cars had already been stolen. All American RV is gated which was one of the few perks. The long term spaces are really not long enough to accommodate anything over 30 feet, they’re all back in sites. If you do end up here ask for a back in space in the very back of the park as the interstate noise is horrific. Grass is few and far between for your pets. Paid $590/mo + electric at $.13/kwh. Do take pictures of your meter before you hook up and on the morning of said meter reading, this saved us every month as they never figured it right until we showed them photos of the meter. You are not allowed to use charcoal in the park, you can use the gas grill but it will cost you and you mist supply your own gas?!!! They have hundred pound tanks to use for $10/month and propane was $3.22/pound. We went down the road to fill ours. It could be a great park but they nickel and dime you for everything. The only reason we stayed was for the safety reason. Their so called “high speed” internet was horribly slow and kicked you off every few minutes, the cable channels came and went with no rhyme or reason to them. One minute you had ESPN the next poof it was gone. The laundry and restrooms at the main building were ok, $2.00 to wash and $.75 dry for 45 minutes. There is a pool but it was closed for the winter while we were there. There is also a play area for small children and a small fenced in dog run. Overall it’s a standardized RV park, nothing spectacular but not a dump either. The only reason I would not stay again is that I do not ever plan on staying or visiting Albuquerque again. Yes Albuquerque is that bad.

The park is gated and secured, very clean, well maintained, and well lit at night. While there is some highway noise, it wasn't enough to bother us. The new big rig section is very nice with large, level pads and plenty of space between rigs. The older section was also quite nice, with grass and trees dividing the campsites. Customer service was friendly and we had a great experience with one employee who entered multiple discounts to help us save money on what would otherwise be a very pricey campground. The one big negative for us was their cancellation policy. We thought it was unnecessarily inflexible and harsh. We would absolutely stay here again if we found ourselves back in the area.

There is a small dog park, but we mostly walked around the RV Park since it was big enough for us to get decently long walks. The web site boasts "Upgraded Free High Speed WiFi" but even though the park was mostly empty, we found the WiFi to be pretty slow. AT&T and Verizon worked well, so we used our hotspots instead. There's a pool, hot tub, and other amenities (which we didn't use). Overall the park is very nice compared to other options in the area, though you do end up paying more for that higher quality. Beautiful large park on west end of Albuquerque. Nice fenced dog park, small playground. Laundries are clean and showers were great. Sites are level with asphalt concrete pavement. Lots of green areas for pooches. Nice swimming pool. Office has some food, rv supplies and souvenirs. Great wifi and cable.
They made the worst day of our trip a little easier

We spent 4 hours waiting to get on the road again and were road weary when we finally made it to American RV. We arrived after hours and easily found our welcome packet. The sites were well lit enough for us to hookup at midnight pm with little disruption to the other guests. The next morning, we were happy to find clean showers, a big laundry room, and a well-stocked continental breakfast. We were in need of new tires, and the staff happily pointed us in the right direction to find some. In our haste to get to the tire shop, we accidentally and unknowingly tossed our truck keys into the trash. A couple members of the staff went immediately into action, searching with us until we found the keys. They also revived a package for us and made sure we received it before we left.

Check in was easy, and the staff were very nice, They have a small store with Groceries and RV Supplies, also a nice Gift Shop too. The Showers (A+) and bathrooms were nice and clean. All Laundry machines were in working order and clean. Sites were nice and wide and level, with a nice table for dining. A chopped rubber surface in the dog park (A+) was a nice feature. The coolest feature is they serve a Continental Breakfast, Coffee, Bagels, English Muffins, Danish, Hard Boiled Eggs, OJ, Yogurt, Waffles and Cereal (just like hotels) without the pancake machine! That was crazy good and sure made up for the higher rate. The only negatives we see are things out of their control, like Highway 40 Traffic noise, and wind. The park is close to a loves for easy fill ups, and you'll need to go a few miles for any real grocery shopping. Caution for those driving 3/4 - 1 Ton Pickups. Albuquerque is a Hot Spot for Vehicle Thefts (2nd in the nation currently) and they have been targeting Diesel Pickups, so be very careful. The Park seems very safe, but don't leave your truck in downtown unless you have eyes on it, or a passenger waiting. This is real, not fear mongering.
Very nice, just outside of Albuquerque

We stayed here while visiting Albuquerque. Nice and quiet, staff was super friendly. Paved sites with shade available in about 1/2 the sites.
