Right on highway 395 so expect lots of road noise. Mostly long term people. A few old, ugly trailers. I thought that there was a policy about old trailers but I guess it’s not enforced. Same with clutter and crap on sites, also not enforced.

I lived her for 2.5 years and the long-term clients have gone down hill fast! I did like it. Sadly, the rules aren't enforced for old-timers who pop pills all day with small loud dogs. Staff is great but owner won't let them enforce the very strict policies for the worst offenders. I'm moving and never returning. It's a very bad experience for me now..

Biggest problem was on the pull out side. The roadway pitched down so sharply that my hitch was now higher than the receiver by a fraction of an inch. Thankfully a "well rounded" person stood on my bumper as I slowly backed up allowing the ball to ever so slightly rub the hitch as it slipped under it. WiFi was RV Park quality, meaning email was about all it could handle and that was slow. The way the utilities where laid out, I was unable to reach the sewer dump with my hose without parking all the way back which would put the elec and water at the front of my 28' trailer. Also, this park is listed in the Passport America catalog but said they are no longer a member.

Nice store and propane service and there is a fishing pond, community room with a kitchen. There are two dog parks. I can see why so many pay the $500/monthly and hang around the Carson City and Reno area.

There are a lot of permanent units in the back section and around the outside. The center area is for short stays. The office personnel are very nice and extremely helpful. The also have a full fuel station with diesel and propane in the front of the park which is great and very competitive pricing. The ding is the site itself. Instead of making full concrete pads, they have two concrete tracks for the wheels. The wheels do fit perfectly on the strips. The problem is with the motorhome levelers. There is gravel inbetween the concrete but it isn't level with concrete. We had to crawl under the MH to dig out the stone to put a level block along the concrete for the leveler to come down cleanly. But all worked out. We had good W/E/S and great WiFi with our booster because we were in the front near the office and got their WiFi. We were close to the highway and weren't bothered by the road noise at all. There is a decent spacing between the sites. They have a nice store, pool, spa, lounge, library, and large laundry. We have stayed here twice and would stay again. Close to Costco and Trader Joe's!!

It's a bit of a challenge to get situated properly. Our 45 foot motorhome fit in our site but just barely. There is a pad adjacent to the site for the tow vehicle. It's a rather utilitarian park with many long term renters. We were able to get Directv and Verizon cell coverage. The WII FI didn't work at all. Be prepared for constant noise from 395. Great place for shopping – all the big box stores are in the area.

We paid $232 for one week. Here are some observations:•The RV Park is located in an open field without shade adjacent to the busy Highway 395.•The RV Park offers five (5) wifi routers but seems to have absolutely no bandwidth. It was impossible between 9AM and 10PM to get an internet connection. Be prepared to spend your expensive phone data. •The fenced dog parks are smaller than the living room in our RV.•At the time of our stay they offered good diesel ($2.39) and good LP ($3.19) prizes.•Nice laundry facilities.•An on-site hair salon is available.•One is allowed to wash a RV or a car on-site after obtaining a $5 was permit.

It has zero aesthetic value whatsoever, it's very popular with full-timers and workampers who don't maintain their sites very well, the road noise from Hwy 395 is pretty intrusive (we're toward the front of the park) and the sites themselves leave a LOT to be desired. The sites are comfortably wide and very level - that's the good news. The bad news is the sites are covered in large-grade gravel which isn't particularly appealing nor is it comfortable to walk on. The cement RV pads aren't "pads" at all in the real sense - they only cemented the tracks where the tires go, leaving the center section underneath your rig open and filled with that same gravel I mentioned earlier. That would be fine except that the "tire pads" are just far enough apart that both feet of my front jacks hang off the inside edge of the cement by exactly half when I'm centered... just enough to have done real damage if I hadn't noticed before putting the full weight of the rig on them. I noticed many of the pads are in serious need of repair. As disappointed as I am, there are some good things I need to mention. First, the on-site fuel station had surprisingly low prices for both gas and diesel. Downtown Minden and Gardnerville are a short drive to the south and are charming and interesting to explore, as is Carson City - just a short drive to the north. Lake Tahoe is to the west, and a day trip all the way around it is well worth the journey. There was a minor snafu while checking in - apparently the person I spoke to on the phone booked us in a site that was long enough for out 42' plus tow'd, but it wasn't anywhere near wide enough for our four slides. I never saw the site, but apparently it's very close to other campers and there's a tree in the way on one side. Changing sites to something we could actually fit on was something of an ordeal, though I do commend the guys who checked us in for catching the error before we drove all the way to the wrong site. For $40 a night I expect something a little nicer. I know it's a popular centralized destination, but still... it's really nothing more than a glorified parking lot with flat spots to park your rig. Also, if you get here and pay for three nights and only stay for two, they will NOT issue a refund for the third night for any reason whatsoever.... or so the guy who checked us in emphasized three times.

The sites are very spacious with concrete for parking and gravel with picnic benches. All sites are full hook up with 50 amp. Easy connect for satellite. Park internet was good most of the time. Just 3 miles south of Carson City, the park is close to all shopping, museums, the state capitol, and several eateries.Passport America is honored starting in October - and the staff offered it when I made reservations on the phone. They were very friendly and helpful on site as well.Dogs are not allowed on any grass area, and the dog runs are small, dirt squares. There is access to acres of desert just past the runs where our dog enjoyed running free during our stay.

  • The only RV Park in the Carson City area with a little space between sites.

We were very glad that we were directed to Silver City RV Park which is only five miles south of Carson City. It isn't near Minden at all. Our first few nights were in the back-in monthly sites (the park was full). We had to leave for some service work so we opted to move up front to the pull throughs, # 96. All of the sites have two cement paths for your tires with stone everywhere else. The problem with the monthly sites is that the two cement areas are too wide for your dually back tires and the stones are too low for the levelers and tires. We had to use a lot of wood to get level and keep the levelers even with the ground. The short term sites have concrete paths that are perfect for the tires right to the inch. We still had to use wood for the levelers. Sites are a nice distance apart and placed on a diagonal. There is plenty of room for your tow next to your RV. Streets are wide enough to make parking comfortable. You are guided to your site. Even though we were on 395, the park was very quiet. The office personal are some of the nicest we have every worked with in our travels. They go out of their way to make you comfortable. Our rates are for full cost the first few days, then Oct 1 they honor Passport for four nights which was $20. The park WiFi worked well, but did slow a little when crowded but could still be used. The park has its own fuel station with easy in and out and very competitive prices for diesel. They also have a convenient propane filling area.
