You register at the hotel that is within walking distance from the park. Liz and the hotel staff we dealt with were all very helpful and accommodated our request to extend our stay. The park is well maintained and safe to be in. Each site has a small patch of grass and a picnic table. The site we were is was said to be 60ft but our 39 foot class A fit in with very little space in front or behind. We were able to park our Honda Fit in a small area in front of the picnic table. There were many campers that park their vehicles in front of their rigs. (Note: the roadways are narrow, so make sure when you plan to pull out to let your neighbor know ahead of time to move his vehicle if it prevents you from leaving your site. We were lucky that the site across from us was empty because our neighbor was gone and his truck was preventing us from turning left onto the road and leaving our site.) There is a clean laundry room that has 4 washers and dryers ($1.50 wash; $1.00 dry). There is a pool and spa, plus a fitness center at the hotel that we didn't use. WiFi worked well in our space as did the Dish satellite. However, our neighbor across from us had a tree that blocked his satellite. The casino is small and smoking smelling, although not smokey. Katie's Restaurant, located in the casino, is a nice place to eat at very reasonable prices. The keno machines that we played pay less than the big casinos in Tahoe. The service in the casino at the bar and on the floor was good. Tahoe is about a 30 minute drive from the park on a decent two lane road out of Minden. There is a Walmart a few miles south of the park. The RV park has a small convenience store and a gas station. There is a dump station as you leave the park that is free to paying campers. Carson City is about 15 miles away and 48 miles to Reno.

The check in process was easy you pull up, there is a booth with a phone next to it that you used to call the front desk inside the casino. They assign you a spot and tell you to setup camp and come in to the casino to check in whenever you’re ready. Their restrooms and showers were very clean, we didn’t use the laundry facility but it seemed up-to-date. It was only a 32 minute drive through the mountains to South Lake Tahoe, CA. The town seemed friendly and safe, and if you’re looking for some good Mexican food I highly recommend Francisco‘s, it’s a 2 minute drive or a 10 minute walk from the RV park. I also got to shop at their local Walmart which is in a neighboring town only a 10 minute drive. Only negative I have to say it was their Wi-Fi was spotty or not working most of the time but we did have three bars of LTE with our AT&T service.

The place is clean, quiet and simple. We chose to stay here before boondocking do to inclement weather. It's a good place to hang for a few days. Full hookups and wifi.

  • Too expensive for me but needed a place & was tired.

Campsite spots are small and best suited for a smaller RV. If you do go ask for a pull through site as these were more level than the back ins. Nice laundry and shower area which I needed badly. Wouldn't go back unless I had no other choices.

The spots were level and had full hookups and most are all pull thru's but were the tightest and shortest we have ever seen. It was clear that vehicles would have to be jockeyed before folks could enter or leave. This is the only negative. There were RV's of every description here from small class B's to large diesel pushers. The casino was a bit smokey but the food was good and it's only 30 miles to Tahoe so we would stay here again. Signal on their wi-fi was good even in the lot and it was easy to walk pets.
