Staff are very nice and have always been accommodating. Our second year staying here. Only book river sites as it is very peaceful. Elk wander thru often. High price but peak season. Landscaping is not kept up well. WiFi is excellent at times but not consistently. Would be a five star if the upkeep was better.
Just a gravel parking lot but close to rmnp entrance

It’s basically a gravel parking lot. Our site 43 backed up to the river which was basically the only thing I liked about this park. Wayyyy over priced for what you get!! It’s close to town of Estes park and super convenient to the Beaver meadows entrance to rmnp. The great thing about this park is we were able to get to the bear lake corridor very early morning for hikes. There is barely enough room to park your truck at your site At least this site is level I guess. When we pulled in to register the lady was rushing me back in my truck telling me I need to move on because I will hold up other traffic. Kinda rude staff. If I had to do over I wouldn’t pay this price for what you get. We stayed 2 additional nights at the Estes park campground Mary’s lake and I liked it better even tho it is basically a gravel parking lot also. At least it has a little bit of a view.

Yes this park is close to RMNP but go elsewhere. Try the KOA. The sites are one step up from a parking lot. The River ambience is a come on. The wifi was 1 mbps. A lot of money for hook ups.

Great location next to a thriving trout stream. Good access to both town and NP. They’re going through a major site renovation updating utilities and as a result the sites can get a tad muddy but as soon as the grass takes root it will take care of that problem.

Pet friendly park. Highly recommended and we will definitely stay here again

No wi-fi in the park or on your cell phone. Limited cell service. Park was clean and we had a great time. Bathrooms were clean. Hosts were excellent. We had a riverfront site and it was worth it. I said that I won’t be visiting again because Estes Park was ridiculously busy even though the campground exceeded expectations.

Great location for the Rocky National Park.Minutes from downtown Estes Park. The showers leave a lot to be desired, and desperately need updating and cleaning.

Our spot was tight with out any privacy yet sitting in chairs behind the trailer listening to the water rush by was nice. There were Elk & deer that visit the campground it was nice to see. Very close to the Estes Park entrance for Rocky Mountain National park. We were close to lake Estes great Kayaking & fishing. There were Eagles catching fish every time we were there. There's a nice hike around the lake and spots to hang out along the lake. We went into the Rocky Mountain National Park a lot what a beautiful place. Bring warm clothes it gets colder the higher you go. We drove both routes to the summit one from the Estes entrance & one coming in Falls river entrance (less busy that Estes entrance). The falls river road is a dirt road but hard dirt so easy to drive other than some tight turns. It's one way which helps. We saw many Elk, Marmot's, deer, on this side of the park. The staff was friendly they had a ice cream social while we were there it was fun. We stopped at a burger & Gyro place on the main road after leaving the park and had the best burger & Gyro. They had Elk, Buffalo & much more.

Sites are close together. There are two shower blocks and laundries which were both very clean. Laundry was $2 per load, same for dryer. All sites were full hook up. There are some sites along the river but it would be quite noisy, so I was happy to be one row back. Location - not far from the town but you can't walk. Above price includes AAA discount.
Looking forward to our next stay

We couldn't get a site along the river, but were within a short walk. It is very hilly but we didn't have any problems with a 40DP getting in and out. They had a lot of rain so the jacks sunk in a bit overnight. The following morning they had a nice little breakfast for the guests and it was a very social event. We enjoyed talking to a number of other campers and all seemed to like the park as well.We look forward to staying here again later this year for a long weekend or maybe a week.
