We recently stayed here with our two young boys. As another reviewer noted, the sites are very close together, but we didn’t find it to be a problem. The campground was quiet and peaceful. The owners/staff were friendly and helpful. Our site backed up to the river with a small deck overlooking it. Our boys enjoyed climbing over the rocks to the river’s edge to play in the water. I’d highly recommend getting a riverside spot. The internal spots, while nice, didn’t have the same appeal. I believe a lot of them are permanent RVs owned and rented by the campground. The campground was conveniently located near Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.

The Big Thompson River is right next to the campground and the noise from the river provides wonderful ambiance. I was fortunate to get one of the sites that backs into the river. The sites in the middle of the property are incredibly cramped -- I'm not sure how some of the big trailers even found their way into those spots. Very conveniently located to both Rocky Mountain NP and Estes Park.
