The road isn’t really a problem, just mind the center line since there was more traffic on it than we expected. The RV park is comprised of 35 FHU-30amp spaces, mostly back-ins with 7 pull-through sites. There is a restroom with showers, that could use a thorough cleaning and update. Each site has a picnic table but no open fires are allowed. The staff at the office was delightful and offered a Good Sam and Senior (over 55) discount. Little to no cell service in the campground area, we didn’t try at the office where there is a coin laundry. A small creek runs behind the campground, just large enough for puppy to play in. There is also a small pool which would be a draw in warmer weather. We enjoyed watching the huge flock of turkeys that frequented the hillside and field next to the campground. For horse lovers, the Sea Biscuit Heritage site is just up the hill. We had intermittent 1x Verizon service unboosted at our campsite.

  • Inexpensive, Beautiful and quiet.

You won't find many luxuries but there are full hookup sites and #35 is the largest. We fit our 42 ft 5er, the tow truck disconnected and extra car in a row. That's a lot of feet but still had room left over. Very empty this time of year, only a few sites occupied. They do have free bathrooms/showers and pay laundry onsite as well. That's a lot of feet but still had room left over. Very empty this time of year, only a few sites occupied. They do have free bathrooms/showers and pay laundry onsite as well. The pool was not open too cold but it looks ok. Site 35 is right next to it so maybe less desirable during the busy season. The biggest downfall is poor cell coverage. If they had wifi that reached our campsite it would have made up for that. I think they have it up at the office but we couldn't pick it up at campsite. It wasn't important enough to me to go hunting it up.

Manager did her best to get me a discount (over 55 did it) took my name and held a space for me. Didn't really need to reserve, park was only 1/4 full at best. Advance warning: They take cash or checks only.As others have mentioned, wifi is only available in the laundry room, doesn't reach sites. AT&T had 2 bars, so did the cell phone hotspot thing.Dog got her walks up the gravel road just past the park up towards the farm school. On the morning walk, a half dozen or so people from the school drove by us. Every single person waved! The only downside was that 101 is very close to the east and we could hear the truck traffic a little bit at night. Not bad though. This is a definite stop when we pass back through going north.

The hostess was very friendly and helpful with information on various places to visit in the area. It looked like most of the back-in sites are taken by permanent/seasonal residents, leaving a handful of pull-throughs for visitors. The pull-throughs are long enough but are a bit narrow so the camping side is a little tight if you have someone next to you. There are a fair number of trees so getting the slides out can be a little tricky. No wifi, and our AT&T worked well enough here but no Verizon signal at all. The campground is a bit small but there is a private road that is great for walking dogs. It's about 15 minutes from downtown Willits and about 1 hour from Fort Bragg. There is a bit of traffic noise from 101 but it's not intrusive. The RV park felt very quiet and comfortable. The permanent/seasonal residents kept their areas very tidy and it felt like a nice neighborhood. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

This is super quiet and peaceful compared to the craziness of the KOA. The kids loved swimming in the pool and we visited nearby Redwood Ranch to see the former home of Seabiscuit. Sites are pretty close together - but we had one on the end and were able to spread out just a little.Couldn't reach the wifi from the RV spots (it was up by the laundry room up the hill) but I think we had T-mobile so we hot spotted from our phones. Amazingly no Verizon.
