This used to be an KOA, but is now under new management.Arrival was straightforward and welcoming. Accsess to the campground is via a coded gate to keep out the "riff-raff" that many others have complained about. The campsite was quiet the eintire time we were there.Ammenites included an 18-hole mini golf course that plays tougher than it looks; catch and release fishing pond; an RC car race course; many play structures for childres; a small petting zoo; Frisbee golf; and more. A great family oriented facility. These are available at no extra charge.Sites have water, power, and cable, with a dump station easily accessible as you exit.As we visit our son rather frequently, this will become our new base of operations.

Campers next door have had loud music playing since I got here 8hrs ago. Lots of kids running around. Quiet time isn’t until 10pm! From this one experience here I wouldn’t stay again unless I wanted a loud campground. On the upside, there’s a nice short hiking trail and fishing pond at the back of the park that we enjoyed.

  • Not worth the money, IMO. 2.5 stars if I could.

Yikes! This place is not great, especially when you account for the price. There’s trash all over the place. They need you to wear your wristbands at all times because they and-I-quote “get a lot of weirdos trying to get in here”. What does that even mean? That didn’t do much to make me feel comfortable walking about with my kids! Smokers everywhere. I know the campground can’t control that but it was just…a lot. We were here for one night and stayed hitched in case we needed to make a quick exit. But man, I’d be disappointed if I came here expecting a “resort”. Mostly quiet, and I was able to get on their WiFi. So that’s a plus.

When we got there the road between us and the 6 other premium sites was blocked by a pickup truck and three picnic tables in the road where a 3-4 other customers had reserved sites next to each other. When I could not get to the site without hitting the truck and tables I called the office who said they would ask the other customers to move to allow access to the site. After waiting 15 minutes when nothing happened, we found a way go around another way and back into the site. During Friday afternoon all day Saturday and Sunday morning the road remained blocked. When we left on Sunday I had to back out of the site again since there was not a way to go forward and go around the campground. We had stayed at this camp 4 years ago when it was still a KOA. They dropped the KOA designation last December. We will NOT stay there again.

RSPECIALLY if you have kids. Set outside the main drag, but close to Safeway and other convenient stores. Very pretty grounds with nearby open fields for dog play. Numerous features: pool, splash pad, miniature golf, even a park big screen for outdoor movies. This place is just itching to get back to normal. Friendly staff. The wifi is excellent and we had no problems getting DISH Satellite up.

Only reason I gave four stars was because it was slightly pricey. Clean & quiet.

Trash pick up at the site - recycle bags provided. Couldn't get satellite but the trees are very nice.Very friendly staff. Well maintained grounds. Clean pool and cute little water play area. Disc golf course and other games available. They have a couple sites with a fenced in hot tub, a few with large grass areas and wooden swings. Most have some kid of fire pit and the picnic tables are in good shape. Dirt interior roads get a little dusty but are wide enough for easy site access. Code required at entrance but no pad high enough for access from your motorhome - getting out to key it in isn't convenient. Park WiFi worked well for us.

Just before the visit we happened to come across reviews on Yelp and TripAdvisor and were very skeptical but it was too late to cancel the reservation so we went anyways. We were pleasantly surprised; the campground was very well organized. There were a lot of activities for the kids. After reading the negative reviews we tried to keep our interaction with the staff to minimum but we found them to be polite and courteous. They seemed to be very by the book which can be perceived not so favorably by some customers. We weren't in any such situation with the staff so won't comment. You can order firewood for $10 a bundle and they deliver to your campsite. If you are on a campsite w/o the sewer hookup then you can schedule a HoneyWagon visit to empty your tanks; they charge $7 if you order at the time of checkin, $12 if you order during the stay and $20 if you order for the same day service. We have a front-bedroom floorpan so we like back-in sites with trees in the back. The back-in sites in this campground are great they are very wide and deep. Yes the sites have big gravel like some other reviews say but that's fine because they do have a concrete pad with picnic bench on it and a fire ring in the back. (Look at the pic.)One big negative for us was that the campground roads weren't paved beyond the entrance of the campground this resulted into a lot of dust from the moving cars and staff golf carts. Everything was covered in thick dust. We don't mind dust if we were hiking or off-roading or doing some activity but getting dust from the traffic in a KOA campsite doesn't make sense to us. This is the only reason that we won't return here until the inside roads are paved.

Tunnel area - we saw mold on the signs. petting Zoo - the animals looked so sad, fishing pond - locked most of the time, and we had to ask the front desk to unlock it - seemed like we were inconveniencing them. No coffee in the shop in the morning. It was pretty and the spots were nice, especially End spots, but amenities were lacking. Hot water in showers sometimes.

It’s got a few classic cheap thrills for kids—a fake row of olde-timey-gold-rush-town storefronts, a petting zoo with few animals to pet, a mini golf course that’s been thrashed by one too many kids, a western-themed play area reminiscent of a carnival, and a few decent playgrounds (that we're full of wasps).Bathrooms: didn't use themHookups: full hookupsDog Park: noKid Friendly: yes (playgrounds, mini golf, western town)Laundry: didn't use
