We could only get one night at Gilbert Ray which is obviously more scenic. And with Gem Show going on, few choices and high rates everywhere else. People at MV could not have been nicer! People at MV could not have been nicer! Saved two nights for us with just our word and contact info (no credit card # even!) and when we hadn’t arrived by 4 pm, called to confirm. Great hot showers and clean affordable laundry room, both of which we desperately needed. WiFi wasn’t very functional but plenty of OATV and spaces are larger and quieter than you’d think possible. Lots of long term seasonal guests. We were only small rig there. Only inconvenience was having to be backed into our site. Meant we couldn’t drive up to go do our wash, which would have been easier. Very glad to find this place!

We put only 4 stars for the noise because of the planes flying infrequently to be a nuisance. The staff and residents are really friendly and welcoming. We would come back for sure. And the price is very good compare to Rincon RV Park (66$) just 5 kilometres from here and where you can also here the planes. This is one of the best wifi we had on a campground, no need to enter a code every day.

Nothing has changed since 1019, still friendly staff with all the mentioned amenities. We were right against the busy road and although there is a 5 foot wall it was very noisy. I would ask to be placed at another lot location. Cost has gone up to 720.00 US. Convenient to everything and yes the jets still fly overhead.

The last review covered everything. Yes it is exactly as the previous review reported. There is a lot to see and do in Tucson and there are many excellent restaurants..Strong internet signal....If you stop here make sure you go see the mission it is very unusual.

  • Large sites with well-maintained amenities at a great price

All sites are back-in, with three "lanes" -- one for the RV, a lane with a paved pad containing a picnic table, and a lane for the tow vehicle / toad. The result is that next door neighbors are separated by a vehicle and picnic table in both directions. There are also generous "back yards" behind the sites, making the spacing of RVs extremely generous for a private park. The bathhouse is modern and well-kept. The laundry facility is priced well at $1/wash and $0.75 for 50 minutes in the dryer. The bath/laundry house is very conveniently located to the RV park area. The RV park is part of a larger mobile home resort, and we liked that the RVs are in a separate section rather than interspersed with the park model homes. RV guests have the right to use the main clubhouse amenities, including a large pool and spa, a small gym, and a game room. Since there are full-time (or seasonal) residents in both the RV area and the mobile home area, the community has a full slate of activities that seem to be well attended by residents. The monthly calendar contains everything from water aerobics and craft classes to social events like dinners and pancake breakfasts. The main office is fully staffed and has handy cubbies for RV guests to receive mail. The location of the park is fairly convenient, since it's close to I-19. Tucson is very spread out, but we could easily get to Saguaro NP east and west, the Desert Museum, and the UA campus by driving no more than 35 minutes. The location on the south side of Tucson also makes for easy access to the Mission San Xavier del Bac, Pima Air & Space Museum, Sahuarito (Titan Missile Museum) and Tubac (art galleries, presidio, and Tumacacori mission). The biggest downside of the location is its proximity to the airport and Davis-Monthan AFB. The airport noise was negligible, but the fighter jets were EXTREMELY loud at times. I mean, our entire trailer was shaking thanks to the noise at times, though it was very short-lived. The park is very well-priced compared to others in Tucson, and doesn't charge tax since it is located on reservation property. Our price reflects the monthly rate of $680 for 30 days.Cell coverage was totally adequate, as it is in an urban area. Internet speeds on AT&T: Download 9.12 Mbps Upload 10.98.
