Might as well just shut down during renovation.

We reserved a pull through spot for 2 nights recently to be close to the route of the 4014 steam locomotive touring the southwest. Decided on this KOA because it had a playground and pool for our 2 year old grandaughter. Well the section with the pull throughs and playground was closed as they were doing some kind of utility work. So they put me in a back in spot that was nearly impossible to get into. The host parking his golf cart in the road didn't make things any easier. They direct me to another spot and even though 2 grown men were behind me I ended up backing over a barrell cactus and destroying one of my levelling jacks, not a peep from either of them. the back section has all of the long term people so I felt like I was camping in someones side yard, not a top notch national camping chain. Weekend was uneventfull, no Hot Tub, No Swimming Pool, no Playground and when we started to clean up on Sunday to head back home, NO WATER!. Maybe when the renovations are done it will be a nice place, but you won't see me there again! And the coarse gravel pads destroyed my leveling blocks, and you need them in the back as nothing is level.
Quiet and still close to freeway

This campground was just an extra mile off the freeway past the other campground. We were happy we chose it because the freeway noise at night was minimal. The bathrooms were nice. They are working on upgrading the place, putting in walkways. They check in instructions weren’t anywhere, but the manager saw me wandering around and came out to give me instructions.
