A bit of a drive to get there but worth it. Extremely well-run campground in a beautiful setting with good access to the town of Hood River. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Poor cell service but good WiFi.
Excellent!

If you're looking for a real campground and not a parking lot, you don't want to miss this place. The owners, Kyle and Marissa, are some of the nicest people you'll meet. The setting is beautiful and the facilities are very clean. Close to Columbia River Gorge recreational activities. If you're a tent camper, the sites are beautiful.
Quiet, wooded location.

It is very peaceful here and I felt relaxed. We Took 84 to get here then you have to cross the Columbia River. Because our Rig is big and with a toad we went across using bridge of the gods, They have a toll to cross there that cost us 11 dollars. But is a little wider than some of the other bridges in the area. Lots of trees and bushes here. Our site was easy to level but had to back our rig in up hill to get in. The road gets narrow as you get closer to the park so don’t be in a hurry. You end up about 3 miles from the Columbia River.

Very close to Gorge. Very spacious spots. Nice fire pit which sits behind the trailer for privacy. Hill coming up is steep, desk recommended 4 wheel drive. I had no issues. We booked a partial hookup site (water & electricity only) but decided to upgrade to a full hookups site for $7 more. General store looked to be very well stocked and even had some trendy merch’ for us Gen X’ers (hoodies, trucker hats, stickers, etc.). Our warm welcome even included a page of coupons and promos for nearby businesses (sadly, we were just passing through on our way home to Seattle so didn’t make time to go exploring in Stevenson - but next time!). Campground host let me pick from a couple of available sites and then directed us up a steep gravel road to our site. We were in #25 which was a beautiful back-in setting with lush green trees all around. It rained while we were there and we loved listening to the BLIP BLAP of huge raindrops onto the roof of our Sprinter van. Power and water worked great. We had a couple bars of AT&T LTE... and the campground Wi-Fi was adequate. We had some trouble streaming YouTube videos. This morning, the showers were great (hot and excellent water pressure) - 50 cents for 3 min. seemed a little annoying after paying $43/night. We’ve had free showers at just as nice (or nicer!) campgrounds that were less expensive. Bathrooms were very clean. Worthy of note: this campground does not accept AMEX. We will definitely keep Timberlake Campground at the top of our list next time we are in the south central Washington area.

This park is close to a lot of nature trails, Beacon Rock and Carson Hot Springs. The spots are stepped, so they're a little funky to get into, but very private for being close together. The owner does a great job at having fun events (ours was Beer Tasting) and the park is really clean and well maintained with a lot of trees.
