Rope swing for the kids and a raft to swim out to. This place blew me away. It was peaceful and beautiful. Train does go by but that’s way of life along the Gorge and we embraced it!

Scenic view of the river, and fun location just outside of Stevenson. However, it’s sandwiched between the highway and railroad, so be ready for noise at all hours of the day. I didn’t appreciate how loud it was going to be until we got here.Spots 2-4 have the best view.

  • Pretty location but noisy and not for kids

Its located in the very picturesque Columbia River Gorge in a narrow stretch of land fit between the railroad line that parallels the river and the state highway. Its a nicely done park thats well kept and close to town. It has several condo style homes for rent and even a tree house overlooking the river. The RV's sites are placed on 2 levels. In the upper sites where I stayed the Highway was about 15 feet above the site and maybe 75' to the West while the Railroad tracks were perhaps 200' to the East and 50' below my site. The heavy trucks on the highway could be heard as they passed. The trains passed every 15 minutes to 1 hour and depending on their speed could be quite loud. Luckily they did not blow their horns very often. If you have small children that like to venture forth this may not be a good choice for you. In order to get the riverside beach they have, you must cross the tracks at an uncontrolled crossing and the trains can cross at rather high speeds without warning. The noise can be a bit much even in a well insulated RV such as mine. For adults its probably an OK site for a day or 2 if you can tolerate noise in general, I found it too noisy so won't be back.
