We spent a number of minutes testing pads that were marked with power but were inop, frustrating. Additional there is a water issue that asks you to boil water. The pads are grass and gravel that are not level . Your neighbor's are close so it has limited privacy. We got lucky and found a site under some trees. Sewer sites limited and dump stations were available but in poor places.Update: we had our blackstone grill stolen under an hour. We went to the store and when we got back, gone gone gone

Not a bad place, the sites are a little small. There are not many level locations in the park either. However, it has a super big dog park, a couple of ponds to fish in, it is far off the highway so no road noise, and they have a number of amenities. Pickleball court is on the tennis court, but really just a stand-alone net without lines.

We really enjoyed our visit to Thousand Trails Paradise in Silver Creek, WA. The facility is well maintained & Staff is working diligently to keep it that way. The dog park was a highlight for our four legged family members. It’s quite a large area solely dedicated to their fun and enjoyment as well.

This Thousand Trails campground is much like other Thousand Trails in that the sites were small and close together. We were in site 99. It was paved but quite unlevel, very short and narrow but pull through with just enough room to park our small tow car. It was FHU but only 30 amp, no Wifi or cable, Verizon was 4G 3-4 bars. We had a picnic table but not enough flat space to make it usable. The campground is hilly and sites are tiered. There isn’t too much shopping nearby. We did not use the bathrooms. The laundry had 4 washers and 4 dryers but 2 of each were out of order. The cost for each was $2.25. They have a code to get in afterhours but when we went to use it the code did not work. They had changed it on the 1st of the month but failed to tell us.

We stay two nights from September 13th through September 16, 2019, in campsite 187, the stay was free due to our Thousand Trails membership. Our site had electricity and water hook up. The site was level and backed up to a creek that was down below the site. The stay site was quiet, no one camping on our driver side did have a neighbor on the passenger side. The campground is at an elevation of 125 ft. Access to the campground was right off hwy 12, our 28 ft travel trailer easily fit with room to spare in our site. Once we entering the campground, the pavement turns to hard-packed gravel as we circled around a couple of times to find our campsite. The weather was high overcast in the mid 60's, the nights low 50s. It did rain hard on Sunday morning from 2am to 10am. This is a very quiet campground, activities we found at the campground to keep busy was shuffleboard which we enjoyed for the first time. The Billards table was in really good shape too. A musician name Dr A played music Saturday night in the lodge. The campground has clean free showers, plenty of hot water and not more than a 5 minute walk from our campsite. Since we arrived on a Friday school day, the campgrounds were not full, there was no waiting for showers. My wife and I enjoyed the campground, we will be back the next time we want to hike at Mt. St. Helens.

There was NO site that our 41 ft fifth wheel could get in. The sites that were available also were extremely unlevel. There were big dips in the middle of the sites we saw. There was one motor home with its front 2 tires completely off the ground due to the leveling blocks/jacks. The road through the park is also narrow and not well maintained. I understand it was a busy weekend but with reservations that include your rig size, we felt that was unacceptable.
We Enjoyed It Here.

Nice staff. Say hi to Bud and Colleen. Bud is the maintenance staff here and he and his wife Colleen threw a little get together in the picnic area. Met really nice couples during our dinner. We recieved excellent cell service while here. We arrived in our 45ft Class A and tow vehicle, both fit at the site. Some spots were tight getting in here, especially if campers were parked in back of us. We were on the front row and hubby is pretty good at parking our home. It seems that many leave on Sunday and arrive Thursday and Friday. The weekends are always real busy here during the Summer as we see. The showers down by the pool area are half stalls so head views are seen and there are no doors for private closure but they have curtains. I used the other shower room up top which had doors and curtains for privacy and much bigger and cleaner. There are only two shower rooms here, so ask ranger which one is not near the pool area. They have a pretty good grocery store which seems to have the necessary things one may need for camping. There is a larger store not far from the campground as well if you can't find what you need here. There's a China Wall Restaurant just down the hill from the access road here. Also, I would recommend filling up your water tank and dumping prior to getting here. Right now it's 11:56 am on a Sunday and there is a long line for people who are dumping and leaving the campground. We are parked at a full hookup site with 30amp site 119. They do have picnic tables and fire rings at most sites that I have seen. Take a drive to Mt.Rainier you won't regret it.

Verizon cell service was great. Views from the ridge going to and from the camp are spectacular. Close enough to Chehalis to go to Walmart or other shopping and dinning. Rt 12 to Yakima was probably the most scenic road we've been on in the Northwest, worth the drive....but not necessarily pulling a big rig or driving your RV. Campground is sloping, so one site is terraced slightly above the next. Gravel roads are something to consider if you are pulling a lot of weight, but there are, at least, a couple of ways to get out and circling around the pool, in front of the store is less of an incline and no problem at all....just consider your route. It rained while we were there, but never experienced much mud. No regular TV service but we saw lots of TV satellite dishes so they must work there. Didn't notice a plethora of long term resident's rigs there, which was nice, they tend to take the best spots and collect a lot of junk when there are very many of them. I thank the resort staff for keeping that sort of mess to a minimum. We would definitely stay here again.

Also, we didn’t get a call or email warning us, we just showed up for our reservation and were told that there is no water. We ended up driving into town to grab a ton of gallons. Also, the laundry room and pool were closed (because of inadequate water supply). Fantastic.the roads are dirt and a little bumpy and the sites, at least in our area, aren’t totally level. Aside from that, it’s a pretty pleasant place. There’s a nice little lake that made for a great dog walk loop, lots of tall trees, and peace and quiet during the non-weekend days. Cell service was fantastic on both ATT and Verizon- hovering around 30mbps download and 5mbps upload without the cell booster for both carriers. (We never set up/plugged in the booster since our speed tests were so good). Not much to do in Silver Creek, but there is a post office that will accept general delivery packages. Groceries and a laundromat are about 30 minuets away. Mount Rainier is a little over an hour. We’d come back mainly because it’s free and there’s great cell service, but we’d definitely bring water!

This seems to be a running issue with this campground. Of the 7 days we were there, water was turned on for 2 and not for the entire campground. The sites were clean but narrow. Most are long enough, though, that there is still plenty of room. There are a few long term residents here but the sites were all pretty much clean and tidy. Our first site (#120) had issues with the power pedestal. I notified maintenance and then moved to another site. A day or two later there was another rig parked in it so they must have fixed it up. The pool was open the first day we arrived and was very nice. It was, however, closed afterwards due to the water issues. The laundry was closed for the entire week as well.On one side of the campground there is a large abandoned loop of sites. They are overgrown but the roads have been cleared for walking trails. Kind of weird but not in a bad way. This campground has a lot of potential but some money needs to be put back into the infrastructure. It's in a beautiful location and is close to Mt. Rainier.Cell service is fairly strong and fast here with TMobile and AT&T. No wifi in the campground but is available in the lounge area (I didn't use it, though).

Surrounding scenery is beautiful and the park offers some really nice walks through the woods and around the pond to the dog area.Spaces in this park are very tight. Mostly because the roads are narrow, sites are perched on a steep hill and most of the roads are one way making it a long slow drive out of the park. Once you find a spot long enough for your rig your good to go. Although our spot wasn't quite wide enough to accommodate our rig and the picnic table, we made do. There certainly wasn't enough space for a fire ring, which by the way, are available to rent from the park store. We thought it was odd that only a few spaces had fire rings until we realized you have to request one. LOLThe park was relatively empty when we arrived on Sunday and stayed pretty quite during the week. It was nice to see it pick up on Friday and was busy with families enjoying the Father's Day weekend. One word of caution: the water system sprung a major leak and the water was shutoff the last few days we were there. Luckily we had 2/3 of a tank of water on-board. I spoke with the guests in the spot next to us and they stated that the last 3 times they has visited the park there have been water issues. I'm not complaining about it just want everyone to be aware that you shouldn't arrive with an empty water tank or at least fill it up when you get there just to be safe. Once they did fix the leak there was a boil warning so extra glad we had clean water in our tank.Overall this is a decent park. The pool area looked really nice and the pond is available for fishing and kayaking. What we liked most was the proximity to Mt Rainier National Park and will stay again if in the area.

Nearby tower above the park provides excellent reception.Sites are surrounded by tall, stately Sitka spruce trees. Two private ponds provide lots of fishing action. Great in-park walking, but not much hiking from the campground. Park is remote. Make sure you come stocked with your favorite foods before you get here. There are small convenience stores nearby but expect to pay for them, including a small, on-site store that is sparsely stocked. About an hr and a half to either Mount St. Helens or Mt Rainier. 2 hrs to Seattle. 1.5 hrs to Portland/Vancouver. Sites seem to be full hookup. Tend to be on the narrow side, but will accommodate a large fifth wheel. Park is spread down a hillside, so heavy rigs like mine might run into a traction problem (I did) backing into a narrow site. Lots of pull through options available. Buildings are definitely on the older side, but the pool and hot tub are in great shape. Staff was friendly and easy going.

Unfortunately, I have to assume that the negative reviewer must have had a bad day, or something... as his information (including cellular signals) just doesn't seem like one of his normal reviews. My take on it is easy -- this may be one of our favorite Thousand Trails RV parks. You're most likely going to be on a "hill"... but I tried several spots and had zero issues leveling... and I have a big 40' diesel pusher. The sites are all mowed, and the grass is green everywhere. All around you are absolutely beautiful views -- you can see Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, etc. Beautiful valleys with lakes... and the park itself has two small lakes, for boating around or fishing. They have two large heated pools, jacuzzi hot tubs, and even a kiddie pool (which is VERY nice).I didn't really find anything to be in a bad state of repair, but maybe I'm not expecting a 5-star Hilton experience. To me, the beautiful views and nature all around are most important. The staff here is exceptionally friendly -- can't really say enough good things about the staff I interacted with. As far as Cellular coverage goes -- from a data standpoint, this place is really good. Verizon will often times max-out your speedtest (assuming the dial only goes to 50Mbps), AT&T is really good, and even Sprint has a foot in this race (even though you only see one bar of service, the data speeds were plenty good). I don't have T-Mobile to test, so can't give information on that. Below are my speedtests -- each test performed FIVE times and averaged out with the final results:Test Date: May 9, 2017NON-BOOSTED HOTSPOTSAT&T - PING (96 ms); DOWN (20.46 Mbps); UP (10.41 Mbps) - 3 bars LTEVerizon - PING (37 ms); DOWN (48.66 Mbps); UP (19.18 Mbps) - 3 bars LTESprint - PING (104 ms); DOWN (11.40 Mbps); UP (4.35 Mbps) - 1 bar LTET-Mobile - NOT TESTEDPark WiFi - NOT TESTED

This park is not without it's bucolic charms but it suffers from lack of maintenance and was built on the side of a hill. Leveling your rig here is a big challenge. Thousand Trails has made no attempt to level the sites. The gravel road into the park is dusty and full of potholes.

The good includes beautiful views of mount St. Helens and Mount Rainier, 50amp and 30amp full hookups, ok bathroom facilities, 2 heated pools and a spa, and tons of activities to do both inside and outside. My verizon mifi was getting great data connection 26mbps+. The fishing on the park and outside the park are great. You are also an hour drive from mount St. Helens and Mount Rainier. The bad is they charge/overcharge you for a lot of stuff. The daily fishing pass is almost $5/day with limit of 3 fish. That also covers one child under 9. Boat rentals were very pricy $5/hour, $15/4 hours, and $25 for the day. Laundry is also $2/load with average size load. Fires are permitted with an approved fire pit. You can rent that though too :) If you own a fire pit or a kayak you will not notice this as much. This is my favorite park and I will still stay here again. However, I was not aware of the extra expenses.
