We needed a location easily off the highway where we could regroup for a couple of days after a very busy 4 months of hoping around. This fits the bill perfectly. It was very easy on/off I95. Very clean, safe, and wonderful staff. We had a deluxe, pull-through, FHU, concrete slab site which made it even easier to take a quick break. There was nothing in the area, except a really fun brewery with very good Puerto Rican food joint on property. It was right across the street, so we walked there for dinner each night and enjoyed the live music.Although we didn't partake, it appears that every Friday they have dinner for everyone (only $3) and free waffle breakfast every Fri, Sat, and Sun.It was perfect for our needs. It would not be a place we would look to go for a vacation spot but would stay there in a heartbeat the next time we need a stopover on the East coast.Excellent cell service.

I input all the required information including requested date, rig size and amenities I was requesting. I gave all my personal and billing info. After the transaction was complete I received a confirmation email and my credit card provider notified me of a charge. This took place about 7 am and I knew the office wouldn’t open until 9 am. I had spent several hours trying to secure a campsite somewhere so was relieved that a reservation had been completed and went forward with my sightseeing plans for the day. It wasn’t until 11:30 that they reached out to me with information that their online reservation system does not function accurately so I in fact did not have a reservation for the dates requested. The first solution offered was for me to move my trailer each day for the 5 days—unacceptable. The second solution was to put me in an “emergency use” site in full sun without a fire pit or a table. And if/when my neighbor arrived I would have to retract my awning—also unacceptable. And the kicker, they were going to charge me full price for a site lacking the amenities provided to others paying that price....$67 for a weekend night.SO BE FORWARNED , don’t trust their online reservations.

Full amenities, lots of sites with full-hookups, many of them pull-through sites. Some sites have concrete pads and upgraded picnic tables, most sires are gravel. Location is between Interstate 95 and a busy industrial road (Air Park Road) and the drone of traffic is constant including heavy trucks. Staff is friendly and helpful; check-in was easy. As it was Independence Day weekend, there was a live band and free food from a couple of food trucks. The facilities were clean and well-services, including the pool. Trash is picked up at your site throughout the day. A waffle breakfast is served every Friday and Saturday. This is a great park for kids, with lots of things to do. Just a couple of miles down the road are several RV dealerships and a Camping World store. The town of Ashland is nearby, with restaurants and stores. Unless you are into resort-style things there isn't much to do -- no hiking trails or sightseeing nearby.Due to its easy access from I-95, I would stay here again, but only as a stop-over.

We were looking for a place with hook-ups to stop for the night. This resort offered "late check-in" so we called ahead and confirmed that they had room for us. They said they had spots, a late check-in set-up, and they offered a AAA discount. We arrived after the office was closed, completed the paperwork, and headed to our site. Since it was raining, we selected a concrete site which the website lists as $58.50 minus the AAA discount. We were surprised when we got home and saw our credit card had been billed for $66.69. (We are guessing we didn't get the AAA discount, and that Virginia has a high tax rate.)The resort is gated - a code is needed to get to the sites. The amenities seemed nice, but we were not there long enough to use any of them, so I can't speak to their quality. While it is very close to I-95, the road noise was a lot less than we have experienced at other campgrounds near I-95. If you are using the amenities, the price is OK, but for a "stop, sleep, and get back on the road", I would look for less expensive options or be sure to book into a "back-in site".

Nicely cared for park that includes some amenities. We stayed for a week and seemed to be the only people using the fitness center. There is also a brewery next door which is a nice perk.

It's priced like a KOA and has the amenities to boot (except no on premises pizza or wine bar). They have a smallish new pool, dog park, pick up your trash, and pickup your empty LP tanks and deliver them full. They have WiFi which is not set up for everyone to stream movies, but the cell/data service is good. The laundry facilities are a bit small but well maintained.People sensitive to noise won't like it as I-95 is right next to the campground. On the plus side, the Center of the Universe brewery is right next door. They have long-term spots which are fairly reasonably priced, and until Covid-19 where waiting-list-only. However, right now there are open spots. The sites are well packed gravel and the roads are paved. The utilities are good and water pressure is fine. It's obvious they take some pride in their campground.

All of the state parks were booked on the weekend. Thank Heavens we found this spot. You can see the highway from the RV Park. I don't know if you can hear the traffic as everyone was running their air conditioners. Very clean. Great for an overnight.

It was very close to the pool, camp store, bath house and fitness room. There is I-95 road noise, but it is tolerable. Center of the Universe Brewing Company is right across the street for those who care to sip new craft beers and play table games.

On I-95 half-way between Florida and Maine. according to the brochure, this campground is central to the entire east coast of the US or so it seems. Earl and I were traveling the Florida/Maine route so a stop at Americamps seemed a good plan, and I have a close friend nearby that I wanted to visit. Though expensive, the resort was what it promised and turned out to be a great stopover. Our site — E1 — was an. easy-in, pull-through surfaced in uniform, coarse gravel that required little leveling. Hook-ups included electric, water, sewer and cable. A picnic table and fire ring were also provided. I like this kind of pull-through site for overnight stops so I don’t have to unhitch and can get an early start the next morning. Wi-Fi was present by seemed a bit slow. I didn’t mess with it much since my long time friend had come for a visit during the evening. ATT service was good. Next to the Interstate, there is a bit of road noise. I did not find it much of a problem. The price is a little bit off-putting, but I might stay here again on the way up I-95. Nearby Ashland had good stores including a large Ace Hardware that I stopped at on the way out.
