This place is “eclectic”. It was higher priced than it should have been, for what it offers. It’s a combination of various businesses. It’s run down, bathroom/showers are pretty rough. The park takes both Passport America and Escapees. I'm not sure if I was just upcharged (since the previous review was 2 months ago and they paid $14/night) but I was charged $43.20 for 2 nights WITH the half-price discount. This park is really dirty, with a few full-timers. The spots are hard to desinate between the road and the space since the same gravel is used; they are also pretty short. I have a 29' Class A and had to park my car on the side of my RV and hope no one claims the next spot. Also the ground is covered with spiky grass, it looks like needles when you pull it out of your foot. My dog won't walk on the grass so I have to carry him to the road. The picnic table is completly a waste of space, there's no way even a child could use it, it's a rickety mess. The electric box had switches for 20, 30 and 50 amp but the circuit breakers were disconnected into the box and difficult to turn on/off. The 30 amp plug was burned out and the ceramic was broken, it worked ok though but it looked dangerous. There is a single dumpster that's close and there are bathrooms but I haven't ventured into them. The office has several little dogs that alert the owner to someone coming in but I don't enjoy having them surround and bark at me.The location is practically at the I-10 highway entrance so it's noisy but unless there's something strange it's tollerable.Try another place.

This was an overnite pass thru. We wish we’d have seen the other reviews first. Electrical service was poor. Our surge protector shut us down once because of low voltage. Using a plug in voltage meter, power ranged from 102V to the highest of 114V. It is close to I-10 which is also a con as well as the railroad tracks. The sites are dirt and ours badly needed graded to smooth out the ruts. Cable TV was satisfactory but the free internet was non existent. As one reviewer noted there are a number of junk cars on site. We’d have been better off saving the money and used it for gas for the generator. We would not stay here again.

Close to the highway and the railroad the place looks like a junkyard the facilities are in my estimation not usable but the campsite themselves are level have 50 amp power and it seems to be fairly quiet except for the highway noise, Chuy‘s restaurant Mexican food across the street very reasonably priced good food.

We made a reservation here based on the 5 star review below. When we got there we decided that they must have been joking. No way were we staying here. Luckily there was the very nice Van Horn RV Park.

  • Poolside church service and a whole lot of weirdness

We ended up here because Coachnet got us towed by the RV Park owner Lyle (who also owns a tow truck company, a garage, a motel, a taxi company, a movie theater and a church where he is the preacher - all on the premises). Lyle has a good heart, but he sure is quite the character. He talks a lot about the Almighthy, which might or might not be your cup of tea. The RV park is simply an open lot by the highway and train tracks. There are a few abandon cabins on the property, but the highlight is the enclosed pool/church/laudromat/used cloth store at the front. Unlike anything you've ever seen. Consider yourself warned.

When we made the trip again with our fifth wheel, we called ahead and made a reservation. They did not require a deposit. They honor the Good Sam discount, thus the $25 for full hookups. There were only a few rigs there at the time, all seemed to be en route and overnight like us. The owners were very nice. We had a drive through, and the gravel was level. We did not check out the pool facility. We did get a flyer with activities - such as the poolside church service on Saturday nights. We did not attempt to use the picnic table (see pictures), and pictures will show the tree at our "oasis" spot. We found the name appropriate, since it is a great stopping place when driving across the state. We love eating at Mama's, but if you want to splurge drive down the street a ways to the El Capitan Hotel (beautifully renovated hotel, we have stayed there before). They have a full bar and we always had good food - a little price, but very good. RV friendly gas station at Flying J/Pilot. We are giving the Oasis five stars for its quiet location, cleanliness and frirendly, helpful owners.
