There were good amenities… pool and playground for kids, but the park is rather run down and the lack of care for older rv’s and their spots is worrisome. It’s somewhat hard to navigate the park and the spaces are not labeled/marked efficiently. There is a big difference between woodsy and not properly maintained. There were also other campers (ones I assumed thought they ran the park for living there for so long) that cared nothing more than to be right in your business. Definitely would not return.

I arrived late Saturday night and was greeted by the owner. She opened the closed office to allow me to purchase snacks and drinks. The park is a hidden gem in the deep east Texas area. They reserve at least five spots for overnight campers. It’s interestedly decorated beautiful and clean. The showers and laundry area are spotless and well maintained. A small lake with areas for fishing and sightseeing along with a pool are some of the amenities offered. A kids area with plenty of playground equipment is located in a large common area near the pool. If you’re in this part of EastTX and need a goodnight rest, this RV Park will not disappoint.

(rate is based on weekly fee of $200) So glad we stayed here vs at the Escapees RV park. Woodsy Hollow is very wooded and sits on a small lake. Park is about 15 minutes from downtown Livingston, Escapees office and local Walmart. Our site, #32, was amazing! 20 feet away from the lake on a small point. We squeezed in our 44 footer and so glad we did! We were basically by ourselves except for a few weekend visitors. They have a dock with kayaks you can use and we did some bass fishing; caught a few small ones. Laundry was clean but very basic, pool was clean. Didn't use the wifi, but could pick up stations on our satellite. Shirley, the manager, was nice and helpful. This is not a fancy park. Roads are not paved, sites are natural and have roots running through them. Several permanite rigs and a few in not so good condition but none near us. Don't let that sway you away from this park. The shade, lake and few people won us over; we'll stay again when in Livingston!
