With hurricane Laura knocking on the door of our Galveston Home Base the decision was made to hook on to our new Travel Trailer, grab the dogs, laptops and beer and run like hell.... We made reservations at Cottonwood Creek Rv Park in Dripping Springs for a week starting Wednesday evening. The man who answered the phone was nice and said he would be happy to accommodate us. Tuesday morning we awoke to a mandatory evacuation order and so called the park back to ask if we could adjust our reservation. Once again he appeared more than happy to help. Upon arrival he was there to greet us and quickly got us checked in and headed to our site. When we got to the site we were unable to use it do to the configuration of the sewer hookup and me not having enough hose to reach (my fault) without the trailer poking into the road. We called and told him our issue and he asked if the pull through directly ahead would work (very nice spot upgrade) we said yes and he told us to use it instead. Never charged us more even though we offered since it was a nicer spot. He came by about 30 minutes later to check if everything was ok. We are currently here on day 3 of our 7 night stay. My wife and I both have remote jobs and are using the park WIFI on 2 laptops, 2 phones, and streaming youtube/twitch on the tv. The park has big WIFI antennas/ boosters, whatever you want to call them, all over the park making internet access easy and reliable. The park is about 10 minutes from town, and set in some of the most beautiful hill country Texas has to offer. The park has gravel roads on the interior, laundry facilities, and lots of walking trails. Dogs are welcome with no exceptions so we are super happy to have a warm welcome for our ESA German Sheppard. There are quiet a few full time residents here but sites are kept nice. If you are coming to Dripping Springs i recommend giving this place a try. We are happy we did.
