Campground is okay. The spots aren’t too cramped, you get a picnic table at every site. Most of the people are full timers. Not super kid friendly, no playground or anything extra. The laundry room had only 2 working machines and it was pricier than other campground we’ve been to. The bay smells pretty awful at night too which we had to get used to and there was a decent amount of dog poop left lying around that we stepped it by accident. Overall not a bad place to pass through or stay long term if you work nearby.

  • Nice place but very cramped.

We got a waterfront site in spot 21. Beautiful view of the water and clean park. Most people appeared to be permanent residents. They have weird parking stop curbs installed so you can't pull all the way back into the space so people will move way over to one side to get the wheels past the parking stops. Both neighbors were very close to us and the neighbor on our camp side had his slides a good 2 or 3 ft into the little grass area we had so couldn't use it much. We have stayed in hundreds of rv parks and this is not a considerate thing to do but do you really want to bring it up then stay next to them for a week? The store on site was nice but they knowingly sell expired candy. We probably won't find ourselves here again due to being crowded and not much to do in the area. Whenever I would walk my dog down the street a German Sheppard from a local house would aggresively run into the road after my dog with the owner watching from her yard not doing anything about it. (not the campgrounds issue)

We chose a waterfront site at this recently opened RV resort on the east side of Galveston Bay. Quiet location near the end of a no outlet road with many restaurants and stores 3-5 miles away. Quiet location near the end of a no outlet road with many restaurants and stores 3-5 miles away. It is about 30 miles from Houston. Well stocked camp store with friendly staff. There is onsite fishing in the bay with a bait shop and boat ramp next door. All of the facilities are clean and well maintained. Every site has a large concrete pad, full hookups, picnic table, grill, and fire ring. Lots of space to walk our dog. We plan to return.
