Tons of stickers in the grass at our site by the playground. Really need these boogers under control especially where the kids play.

This place is excellent. We were here over Christmas and the park provided an excellent dinner. Everyone is friendly with many social activities scheduled. Roads and sites are all smooth and level concrete. Heated pool at the clubhouse. Green spaces are well cared for. Far enough off the road to be quiet but still close to town. Good cell coverage and adequate wifi. Only thing missing is cable tv.

We visited Southern Oak in Jan of 2019 looking to book a 2 month stay in January and February, 2020. The park shows well and we left that day with the commitment that we would have a site for the next year although they didn’t have a site number yet and didn’t want a deposit at that time. Flash forward to June and multiple calls to c...moreWe visited Southern Oak in Jan of 2019 looking to book a 2 month stay in January and February, 2020. The park shows well and we left that day with the commitment that we would have a site for the next year although they didn’t have a site number yet and didn’t want a deposit at that time. Flash forward to June and multiple calls to confirm we are ok, staff person didn’t know status and someone would get back to us. Then in Mid July, another call with no answers on status. Finally at the end of July, Southern Oaks finally returns our calls, we do not have a site. It’s late in the season to get anything now. I wonder if they realize the issues they have caused. I would be cautious about anything these people say or promise.
