The owner was nice and helpful. The rec hall and laundry facilities were very clean. One washer & one dryer in laundry. Laundry was inexpensive at $1 for washer and $1 for the dryer, however, Jeans were still pretty damp after one run through on the dryer and we had to run them through another cycle. Dryer did also take about 50 minutes per cycle. Not many spots here though, so, demand for the laundry room was low. All gravel and not perfectly level, so, expect to use levelers of some sort. Great views of the surrounding hills. Pretty quiet as well even though it was close to the main road that runs from Big Bend to Alpine. Both 30 and 50 amp service available. If your rig can run off of 30 amp, you can save $3 per night over the 50 amp service. Water tasted pretty good when filtered. Unfiltered has a bit of a mineral smell (didn't taste it unfiltered). Verizon service was only 1 bar LTE, however, we were getting 4 bars with our cell booster. WiFi was up there with some of the best we've used. Close to Alpine which is a nice little college town and Big Bend is only a day trip away if you can't find anything else closer to it. Ask the owner about the metal art sculpture trail that is just up the road. It is on a private residence that allows people to visit freely at no charge. One of the coolest things we've seen. We'll also be posting video of the trail and the area on our YouTube channel in a few weeks: YouTube.com/HomieAtLarge

This place does not cater to those who have allergies. And the wifi sucked too.

If you hate the crowded RV parks, this is the place to go! It is a few miles south of Alpine on the highway to Big Bend. There are absolutely beautiful views of the mountains! There is not a good cell phone signal, but the park had great WiFi when I was there.

  • Great stopover spot on the way to big bend.

We really enjoyed this spot which features epic sunrises. We were able to get great AT&T coverage on our hotspot and weboost rv65 booster, Verizon was a no go. The bathhouse is very clean and includes a kitchen in the same building with a table and chairs which would be great for tent campers or bad weather.

This park is a gem. Just 14 RV sites, but they are all pull-through, with nice trees between for privacy, and pretty level. Beautiful view out my windshield to the East. Extremely nice bathroom/shower/laundry building, with coffee pot and kitchen available for use by campers. 10% Good Sam discount made my rate $27/day for 30amp hookup. 50amp is $2 more. Campground WiFi was good, but I don’t stream movies, so not sure about that. Verizon coverage was off and on. Self pay, but the owner Lori is readily available by phone. The dark night sky is incredible, filled with stars!
