This was to be our stop for the eclipse in 2017. So we made our reservation way ahead, and thought we were confirmed. With about a month to go, we tried calling to confirm again. There was no phone number, it had been disconnected. No website, no way to get any info. After a few weeks, they showed up on Facebook, and that number worked intermittently. When they did answer they said, "Sorry, we're in the woods, we'll call you back." Of course they never called back. So we called again after a couple days and of course, they had lost our reservation. OK, the eclipse is a crazy time, but seriously, make an effort. They said they had left a few spots in case this happened, so they agreed to let us have one. They took our credit card information and said they would send a receipt. They didn't. And they didn't answer the phone anymore. So we nervously showed up. There doesn't appear to be an office, you just have to hope the guy who assigns spots is wandering around. He was, and we explained they had just run our credit card so we have spot, he hemmed and hawed for several minutes, trying to figure out what to do with us. Finally, we got a spot that was so slanted that our leveling system had errors, and even manually we could not get level. The hookups were all in the wrong place, so we had to crawl under the RV to hook up septic, and had to share the power box and faucet with the neighbor. We were both 50 amp, so we had to negotiate who got to use electric. The water had a splitter, so that worked at least.Because the spots were so slanted, we couldn't reach the rear refrigerator without a step stool, and even then I was the only one in my family who could reach it.They charge extra to use the bathrooms and showers! They told us "We have a pool, but it is covered in algae right now, we hope we can clear that up in a couple days." Ummm... no thanks.Poorly run, crappy spots, inappropriate hookups. And it's too bad, if it were run well, this could be a great park. There is a walking trail in the woods, and it is far enough off the road to be quiet. Instead, I just wanted to get out as soon as possible.Oh, and neither AT&T nor Verizon had much signal, we could only intermittently use our devices.
