The area is extremely scary. There is absolutely NO WiFi. They told me to go to the laundry room to try to access some. It was a horrible experience and I would never stay there again.

We stayed for a week and even with restrictions they did have their pool open for much of the time we were there. It’s a small pool and not one to write home about, but it was open. The location is good. Although there are branches to watch on the road in and at the entrance to the park, they are located right on the bay. It’s got a beautiful view and you can see Corpus Christi from across the way, which is neat. Due to the location though, bring bug spray! We got eaten up by the mosquitoes even with bug spray - they are huge and there’s a ton of them! The spots are another beast though. We have a 40 ft class a and we weren’t sure we were going to fit. They are skinny and short. We barely fit our rig and truck in. The spots put you very close to your neighbor. Probably the closest we’ve ever been. And the ants are terrible. We ended up having an infestation of fire ants in our water bay that we’re currently trying to get rid of. There are ants all over the park. Be careful where you step and bring diatomaceous earth and fire ant killer to sprinkle around.

I would give them zero Stars if I was able. I never stepped foot on this property but after trying to cancel reservations due to the Corona virus and my family member suddenly being placed on life support. I never stepped foot on this property but after trying to cancel reservations due to the Corona virus and my family member suddenly being placed on life support. They tell me that I will receive $20 out of the $240 that I paid. Nice way to treat a person during national crisis, family member in the hospital, and retired military. I would not waste your time or your money, they don't care about customers under extreme circumstances.

However, the Park has put a sign at the road intersection to warn against going down the wrong road.Located across the bay from Corpus Christi, Portland is a small community but has most standard grocery stores and small shops. For any real shopping or restaurants, you must go over to Corpus Christi. The check-in process is easy and straightforward. The staff is friendly, but there is a fair amount of paperwork and rules to go over. There is a nice walking track and dog run area around a lagoon, and our site had a great view of the Nueces Bay.The sites are gravel with grass in between, and sites are very close together. Most sites have a palm tree and a picnic table. Most are back-in sites, very few are pull-through.This Park serves primarily Winter Texans, and most of the sites are permanent or semi-permanent for winter. There are areas for temporary stays, such as ours, but most folks stay here a long while. The community is very friendly and encourages gatherings and events. There is an outdoor pool, hot tub, community room, laundry and guests are allowed to use the community kitchen area to cook if necessary. There is internet available throughout the park, but it isn't very fast. They were clear about that when we checked in, so we were not surprised by this. If you visit the area, do take the tour of the USS Lexington, in the bay at Corpus Christi - very interesting! The Texas State Aquarium is also a great visit! We stayed at Sea Breeze in a 40 ft motorhome.
