Stay away from him and you will have a delightful time.

I was able to register 3 bars of AT&T LTE with an RV65 cell booster. My wife and I work full time from the road, using Zoom and Teams, so internet is a must. The park wifi is actually quite good if you can get a signal. The trees have grown over the years and create a lot of interference. If you need to work from the road, tell the office when you make your reservation so they can put you near an unobstructed repeater. The town of Prospect has 5 water falls to explore, and other near by towns have plenty of hiking and water falls.

This is a really nice RV park right on HWY 62 and just 30 minutes to Crater Lake National Park. The park hosts are helpful and provide a great map of the area. Camp WiFi was surprisingly fast if you connect to the 5G, nothing on 2.4G. I was getting download speeds around 60-70mbps on 5G.

This was just an average experience for us. Treed area. Our site was tight with no room to enjoy outside. No satellite due to the trees. No activities due to COVID. Poor wifi and cell service. About 40 min to Crater Lake. We drove to Lost Lake to fish.

When we arrived the hosts where very prompt to get us checked in and settled. Even though our spot was next to the main road it was very quiet. The camp hosts make sure that everyone is happy. Only complain was the strong rules regarding leashing our dogs. But we totally understood the policy.

And 5 or more spots are "Camp Hosts". The office staff, and other hosts we interacted with were nice, friendly , and helpful. Most of the sites are really close together with lots of big trees and bushes. This place was like a RV village of big rigs squeezed in together. If you need space this isn't it. But we were totally fine for 2 nights while sightseeing the local spots. The bath house was clean and modern. Walking trails nearby for our dog.

COVID shutdowns hit and we were kicked out of an Army Corps of Engineering campground, forced to find a place to hunker down. We're full-timers and opted to find an RV park that would allow us to stay for at least a month. Crater Lake RV staff became our 'COVID family' and we'll be forever grateful for the friendly staff that made us feel so welcome. The RV park is full of tall trees so you feel like you're camping at a state park. The Rogue River is only a few feet away, with the Hidden Lake for swimming and a hiking trail that goes on for miles. The RV sites form a loop that's great for walking the dogs and our toddler. Our site, #17, and many others are very long so fitting our 32' class A and our tow car was no issue. The Wifi worked well and we had no issues with our water/sewer hookups. Our site does not have cable access. There's a laundromat just a few minutes away. Prospect Store is also down the road and has all the essentials (eggs, milk, etc.) and Walmart is about 40 minutes away in Eagle Point. There are a couple of restaurants nearby with good pizza and burgers. Lots of great hiking and waterfalls nearby! No cell service but we didn't have a problem using wifi calling.

We had to cancel our reservation due to area fires that September. Well, we finally made it. This is my kinda park. FHU’s but with a public campground feel. (One of the many things our home state to the south is derelict in.) My wife was not as impressed. She lives for social media. No internet access was available from our site. We did find spots (like near the lodge at Crater Lake) to download emails, etc. It’s a very pleasant drive to Crater Lake from the resort, with most of the drive being within the park’s boundaries before reaching the actual tourist destination. Having visited the volcano numerous times, we actually enjoyed exploring the local area more. Great pie to the north. Great pizza pie in town just across the main road. My kinda place!

There is constantly new people coming in so it’s very busy. The river and lake are a short walk but be aware the dam releases water at any time. It’s about an hour from crater lake. There is a lot to do around there which is nice. But this park solidified my decision to never stay in a traditional RV park again.

Only the post office, grocery/gas station and pizza parlor were still open. The pizza was very good!Visit the Falls while you're here - beautiful! The entire area is without cell or internet with very little exception. You can find a couple spots along Hwy 62 to check email and make calls. Make sure you get gas in Prospect, there aren't any other options before Memorial Day, and then I think it's only Diamond Lake and at Crater Lake.

The hookups were excellent - the water was a little on the hard side but it tasted delicious. The entire park is set within a mature pine forest and each site is surrounded by towering evergreens. Best thing of all is they give you a couple pages of maps of all the things to see in the area... gorges, waterfalls, hiking... all absolutely worth the trip and all within a 10-60 minutes drive. The WiFi is infuriating. Even when we could connect - which wasn't often - there was so little bandwidth left over that no internet pages or emails would fully load. A few other campers with boosters said is was a little better, but not much. Data connection via AT&T was non-existent as well, so we basically spent 7 days in the park completely disconnected. That's ok, we didn't come here for the WiFi so we didn't expect much to begin with. One other note: The pull-thrus I saw weren't particularly level. They were fine for 5th wheels, but the larger Class-A's we saw trying to park in them had a heck of a time leveling... most had to lift their front end completely off the ground. They have plenty of long back-in spots for bigger rigs that are much more level, so don't automatically ask for a pull-thru.Even with all the minor annoyances, Crater Lake RV Park is one of the sweetest parks we've even been in. We'd loved to come back many, many times, and can't wait until we have the chance to do so.

We stayed in two different sites. In one, we could fit the motorhome in but had to jockey the car around to avoid blocking the site next to us. It was not very level. The second site was much longer and more suited to a large motorhome. The interior roads are narrow so be careful with larger units. The Wi-FI didn't work at either site. (Hint: The library just across the street has WI-FI. You can sit in your car, inside the library, or outside at a table. It worked great.) Due to trees, our satellite did not work. We could use our Verizon phones if we sat right by the office. The strangest thing was how the computer did the billing especially if you extended your stay. I couldn't determine by looking at the receipts if I was charged correctly. I verified the price by checking my account once we left. If we needed hookups, we would stay here again.

Our site was extremely long (probably could have parked two big motorhomes in it) but not very wide / not much camping space. Fortunately there was no one next to us so we had plenty of room. The park is heavily wooded and rustic feeling. There's a nice trail leading out of the park that we could walk our dogs on (in addition to walking them through the park) which goes to the nearby dam/reservoir. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had no AT&T or Verizon cell reception, even with our booster. The office has a stronger booster on a very tall pole which you can use if needed. The WiFi worked quite well (streaming movies is not allowed), but it's worth noting the park was about half empty when we stayed. The biggest drawback (apart from the lack of cell signal) is the noise from the highway. Our site backed up to the highway so we heard very loud trucks going by all day. Fortunately at night the highway was mostly quiet. We were also surprised (and disappointed) with an extra fee when checking in. When reserving, the web site listed the rate as $28.50 (for 2-6 nights) and said "all sites have full hook-ups with 20, 30 & 50 amp service". When we checked in, we saw an extra $3 per night added to our bill for 50 amp service. There's also a per-dog fee but that was listed on the web site.
