This spot was not one of our favorites! My Cherokee did not like the roads at this camp ground. They were steep and rough, I scraped my under belly a lot (would have been better in the truck!), we picked a good spot close enough to the water to get some fishing done, so that was a plus, and the views were amazing! People drove in and out of the area all night long! The restrooms were a bummer, (showers were freezing and not well kept), and were pretty far away from the tent camping area( not walking distance) ! BUT, through all the bad parts, the owners were awesome, we enjoyed talking to them, and the location wasn’t too bad! We chose this site because it is close to Colorado bend state park, (which had no available camp sites), and not too far from enchanted rock. (Which also had no sites available). We would probably stay again if better prepared for it, but not if anything else is available around the area.
