Our experience was anything, but that. The cabin smelled so bad that we could hardly stay inside. It smelled like a mix between musty, mold, and bad cleaner. In fact, this ended up aggravating my son's asthma to the point where we had to check out early. We inquired about a refund and never got an answer until a month later (which they declined the refund request). The place was so dirty and nasty that we had to clean the dishes and all the counters before we even unpacked. The putt-putt course was closed, half of the arcade games did not work, and our firewood was stolen when we were exploring the area. The "prizes" you could redeem your tickets for were the cheapest toys I have ever seen. I was tempted to give my kids $10 each and go to the dollar store to get some "real" toys.We paid nearly $600 for the weekend and definitely did not get our money's worth. Please, please, please, please DO NOT stay here ever.

We’ve stayed twice at this campground and have had a great time both times. It’s located very close to Hocking Hills State Park. Some of the tent sites are on an incline, but the RV site we had (site 24) was very spacious. There’s a a nice pool and nature trails. There’s even a trail to Ash cave from the campground

  • Poor maintenance do not stay here.

Sites are small, showers were terrible, bathrooms worse. Obviously no quiet time as other guests partied into middle of the night. Only plus is a good location.

Many sites are not at all level. It is close to Hocking Hills State Park, which closed many trails as well as the campground due to the virus. When I called this campground because my state park reservation was cancelled due to the closure, this campground woman told me they had trails into the park and we could hike in that way. She didn't tell me they were also closed, so I got there expecting to hike and could not. The office was never open while we were there, but other campers told me they refused to give them a refund. I had paid for two nights but only stayed one, since we couldn't hike and the campground was a dump. They have a barn full of arcade games you can play (for additional money) and the games all look to be 50 years old. My guess is that years ago this was a nice campground. It is a pretty enough setting. But the maintenance has been lacking. We called for directions and never got a return call. It's on such a back road that it was very hard to find on google maps. Coming from Cantwell Cliffs we were on some very windy, hilly roads that I wouldn't want to do in a bigger rig than our 24 foot motor home. And the map would have taken us on even worse dirt roads, that we avoided.

The bathhouse had 5 toilets, only 4 of which worked; the screen on the door was punched out and flapping in the breeze; there were actual holes in the counter housing the sinks. The whole place looked like it was built in 1940 with Formica applied to the sink area in 1970 and then just painted over every spring since. The cement floor was wet and obviously had not been cleaned in a long time. This level of disregard was clearly habitual and had nothing to do with the covid epidemic. Despite the attractive campsites, I would not camp there again. No Verizon cell phone coverage, either.

Staff was very helpful and accommodating, and only charged us PA rate the entire time (30 amp + water - price reflects that rate.) This is the quietest campground we’ve ever been in. There are a few seasonals but most were unoccupied at the time. Our site was grassy & shaded but turned into a quagmire after heavy rains. We got our car stuck and then our RV...almost! Lots of things to do in the area. Internet/cell service was poor so no streaming took place. With a booster we had just enough bars to do basic messaging, email, etc. The down sides were the bathroom/shower facilities and laundry. Laundry functioned in a pinch but needed cleaning. Toilets/showers near us were out of order, and the larger facility toilets needed cleaning. Showers are old and beat up with M*A*S*H- style water operators. There’s a barn with pool tables and video games. Miniature golf looked unplayable. But...we’d be back for the quiet and proximity of local attractions.

The prices are pretty high and it’s geared to make money off of the locals staying long term in and around the fantastic Hocking Hills area. Pretty noisy when i was there in the fall with a tent the weekend after Halloween. A few tent sites are heavily wooded and worth it if you can get there early. Spent a winter night there when it was about 9 degrees and some light snow (just to test new gear) and was the only tent camper, so I got the deep woods site and it was awesome.

Spoke to the office the next day and they moved us to a more level site :) Very pleasant staff and knowledgable about the surrounding area. Didnt use the restrooms or laundry so cant comment on those. The park looks lovely and green and in better weather, the trails would be fantastic. No Wi-Fi or internet reception
