We stayed on an end site that was large and spacious with FHU. This park is dusty when the wind starts to blow but other than that, we enjoyed our stay here. Very well managed by a cheerful staff that go to great lengths to help you get your rig in safely before they leave you to set up camp. This was by far one of the easiest parks to negotiate in and out of with a big rig and is a great stop when visiting the Theodore Roosevelt National park. I would definatly recommend this park for a carefree visit to North Dakota. To see videos on this park and others, please visit our YouTube channel: Jeff & Steff’s Excellent Adventure.

It being off-season, it was not as crowded as its pictures might lead you to expect. There are lots of trees, too. We had a tight back-in site and the assistance from the staff saved lots of time

My wife and I stayed here for one night: 8-24-2021. We found the campground and its facilities to be perfectly satisfactory. That is, it is not fancy, but it is clean, and everything works as advertised. The showers and toilet facilities were well maintained and the water was hot. We would stay here again.

  • Long wait at check in.

Check in takes awhile, escorted to campsite and told how to park, steer etc. campsite is on smaller side. Full hook ups. Good WiFi , cable, SAT reception spotty due to trees. Staff keeps bathrooms clean.

Older campground but clean. The staff was super nice! The town is close by and was really nice to walk around. We had a site by the road so we did hear some road traffic but not much and once we had the fan on did not hear it.

We have stayed in some great parks and some real dogs. This park rates in the middle or slightly below average. To begin, it is "off season" so this is the only RV park open in town and no other camping options are available anywhere nearby, thus one cannot be too choosy. I think some of the really bad reviews need to relax and not be so ridiculous. Sites are level, gravel with grass, picnic tables, barbeque and full service (50A, water, sewer). Nothing different than 90% of all RV parks all over the country. Sites are all "back in" but not as tight as some comments. Staff helped us get in, no problems. Yes, they charge an extra $3 for cable but at $39 total I could not complain. Park needs some work but for a one nights stay we are satisfief. Dome of the really poor reviews need to relax, enjoy the National Park and Medora which is in the middle of nowhere, what do they expect.

Someone was in our spot when we arrived, we had to wait a while for them to figure out what to do. We pulled through to our spot, all the way to the edge of the road. We had no room to park our truck, but they let us park it close by. Our living area was bordered by the dumpster and the dump station, so we didn’t have much interest in sitting outside. Eventually, our parking space was assigned to a truck camper and their trailer. Fortunately , they found us another spot to park our truck. The people with the truck camper commandeered our picnic table, which the rules specifically state not to do. While we weren’t using it, it would have been nice if they asked. We didn’t have a bad experience with the staff, in general they were pleasant enough and helpful enough. The WiFi was good, at times, better than most parks, but slows down when the park is full. We loved the town of Medora, the Musical and Teddy Roosevelt NP, so we would stay again if we are ever back in the area. We drove through the county park, it had some nice sites, but most weren’t any better than here.

The women's had an overflowing toilet. There is only one trashcan in the whole place, next to the dump station. Makes it difficult to throw away trash when someone is dumping. What would normally be a pull through spot in a normal park becomes a back to back spot here. They cram you in like sardines. The employees are not hygienic. Good things: kid volunteers, wifi and cable. Better off staying at Medora Campground.

When making reservations I am always sure to tell them we have a 44' motorhome with tow vehicle to make sure they can accommodate us. On the plus side, we went to the Roosevelt Nat'l Park and saw some buffalo and prairie dogs, and the Medora Musical and Dinner were fantastic!
