No clear instructions. Campsites are on top of each other. No picnic table. WiFi non functional after the evening meal once multiple people started using. (Which is surprising given only 12 sites) You are a ways out of town which is quite different form all the other campgrounds in Medora where you can walk to most of the town from the campgrounds. Site 10 would be a very difficult site if you are using a trailer. You need to back up uphill and curve into the driver side parking next to a cabin.

Did not put out awnings because it was very windy every day. All sites are fhu, no office or restrooms. I found all communications done via email adequate and informative. We did not get WI-FI at our site, cell service was good for internet. Medora is a cute tourist town and the entrance to Theodore Roosevelt NP south unit. An hr away is the north unit of the NP and a must see for Bison, canyons and Little Missouri River. We are glad we visited!

Sites are extremely tight. We were lucky to get there early and be able to pull into ours. Hills make leveling a challenge. The only view we had from inside our rig was out the back window. No OTA TV but able to stream with the WiFi. Close to Medora and TRNP.

Payment is all done online or you have to go in town to the bar if it's open. There's no office at the campground or restrooms. We chose site 11 which was a little up on the hill with better views and a little larger than the sites down below which looked a little cramped.Cell service was strong with AT&T and decent with Verizon. It's a short drive into Medora but there aren't many services in town (gas, groceries, restaurants) especially in the offseason. So make sure you come prepared.

Site is very basic, no facilities, and spots are tight. Ground is gravel mixed in with plenty of jaggers. Bugs are bad and don’t count on the WiFi working. The only nice thing about this campground is the view. Would not recommend this place.

Ground was not terribly level. I use LevelMatePRO and after multiple repositionings still had to go up 5.5” driver side and 11.5” up on the tongue. We did have a pretty cool lightning show but the encore was a freak hailstorm. Cell service with Verizon was 2bars for us, took a while to browse websites, YouTube, other web-based apps. Overall nice spot!

The sites are a bit tight but workable. The sites could use a bit of work in that the stabilization jacks have sunken in the ground in the past (not ours but previous campers). The only other minor issue is the hookup connections are at the front, not back of the spots. That makes for long connections. Having said all that, yes I would return, no question. I like being away from the city crowd and the peace and quiet this place has. I also like the laid back approach of find your spot and then come pay us when you can. 20/30/50 amp power was clean and properly connected (we still use our surge protector). Water is good, no smells or funky tastes (in fairness we do use a filter anyway). Tips, call ahead to make sure there is room. Bring blocks for your stabilizers and make sure your connections will reach the front of your rig. My opinion, site 8 has the easiest access and the best views. We camped in a 36’ class A with a Jeep Liberty toad.

We stayed here because it was mid September and the city campground in town had closed down for the year already. You show up and pick a spot. It's a little confusing as to here the spots are, but we figured it out. There was no one there to advise us. Once you are set up, you go to the Boots Bar and Grill in town and pay for your stay (they will put it on your lunch tab if you wish). We never did figure out who owned the campground. And when we decided to stay an extra day, we didn't get around to paying until 5:00 that evening. No one came and banged on the door asking why we were still there. I found that interesting.Anyway, the WiFi was good. There are no OTA TV stations (not surprising). Verizon worked OK, the number of hills between the campground and the cell tower in town degraded the signal some.It was a short drive into town. So this campground is not inconvenient at all. If you want to avoid the crowds in Medora, this is the place to stay.

No facilities (laundry, shower, restrooms, etc) to speak of but if that’s your thing then it’s great!Although there are around 15 sites (+/-) there was only one other RV besides us here. Very quiet and private...almost feels like boondocking but with full hookups! We like to be a bit away from the hustle and bustle and this campground fits the bill. Sites are either back in or pull through and seemed plenty long for most rigs even when towing. The main part where most of the sites are, are pretty close together. Off to the left (where we parked) the sites are double width and spacious. No reservations here, just show up and go pay at the bar about 2 miles down the road!
