Friends had booked a cabin at the WagonMaster and invited us to meet them there since there were RV sites right next to their cabin. The "resort" has a number of activities during the summer, eg gym mining, paintball, boat rides on a nearby lake, etc. None of these were operational as it was mid-November when we visited, so our experience was different than a summer visit. There are 2 RV sites behind the wash house. Both are 30 amp with water. The sites are grass with gravel underneath. As the only RV and at 32 feet, we were able to pull in a way that we were in an area with enough gravel underneath. There is no dump station.Access to the WagonMaster is via very narrow winding mountain roads. The owner warned us that there would be no cell coverage for the last 1/2 hour of the trip and she was correct. There are no stores/restaurants/etc in the immediate area. That meant there also wasn't much traffic and no noise! It is approximately 20 miles west of Murphy, NC. The WagonMaster land is beautiful and we were able to take a short hike by a creek right from the campsite. The owners are developing some beautiful RV sites for sale on the property and they were quite beautiful and well done and if/when any of them are available, would have FHU, views, etc.The owners/hosts could not have been nicer. They checked the site several times before we got there to make sure the ground was not too wet, gave us good directions and warning about cell service, and brought us hiking information and golf clubs for the mini golf they have. With a cell booster, we were able to make phone calls and text from our campsite, but that was it. There was very little Verizon cell service anywhere within 15-20 minutes of our site.We did not use the wash house, but peeked in and it was clean and heated/air conditioned.
