This is a great park that looks and make you feel like you are truly camping. The campground is lined with trees. Sites are level and utilities are great, no issues. Host had cookies ready for us when we arrived.

We’re talking Amazonian hot & humid, so prepare yourself. Even the locals we spoke with complained about it & said it was bad. Missouri they call it. Misery we call it. On the whole BRBRV was not a bad experience. Close to the highways & quiet. A bit off the beaten path, which is good. But overall? ‘Acceptable’ we’d say. Lord knows we’ve seen much worse. So why not four stars? The grass was green, the spaces by and large were level, the park was adequately maintained, and the folks running it were nice. Answer: In a word, the rest rooms & shower facilities fall well short, and wouldn’t expect a construction gang to use them regularly, let alone my ‘house guests’ staying in our park. Am sure the local lockup has better facilities for its inmates than this park has for its ‘guests.’ These were tiny concrete block affairs with those ‘Barbie & Ken’ sub-standard kiddie sized uber cheap toilets that are so low & small you feel like you’re going to fall down when you take a seat, and barely large enough to properly position your parts. More like taking a seat on a 5 gallon bucket than an adult sized commode. On the whole not a pleasant experience. The stalls were green painted particle board & 2x’s w/ little screen door hooks and not a lot of privacy. The showers were green painted concrete block over a concrete floor w/ a drain opening. When first inspected both men’s and women’s rest rooms were flooded, and it was likely the runoff from the showers or possibly badly leaking pipes that were the source of the problem. Can’t imagine that’s sanitary, as the water ran down the interior wall the full length, right into the stalls and sat in puddles that covered about a third of the room. What do they say? You never get a 2nd chance to make a good 1st impression. And those cheap plastic shower curtains. Seriously? The entire rest room was more like a dog bath than one designed for guests, so we did a Nancy Reagan and just said “No.” Advise you do the same. Stick w/ your coach except when absolutely necessary. But maybe that’s the intent of the owners, who knows? But our take on it is don’t say “rest rooms and showers” and then expect people to use a dog wash w/ mini-stools. Spend the money. Upgrade the facilities & provide your guests with clean, well constructed & maintained rest rooms and shower facilities. Personally feel RV park rest rooms and shower facilities should meet the same commercial standards in any public facility. So some may consider BRBRV a great spot. Others not so much. We checked out a neighboring park down the road and BRB was definitely the better choice. The spaces are a bit close together & you’ll bump into your neighbors if you walk around your rig. But it’s not as bad as some of the RV parking lots we’ve been in where you had to overlap slideouts to fit into. We had plenty of space for our rig & tow vehicle. Gravel pads & roads were built up so they don’t flood in the sometimes torrential rains. So all in all, not bad — but could be much better with decent tiled and partitioned rest rooms and showers.

I arrived after dark in the dead of winter and was back on the road well before sunrise. With that said, I was very pleased with my stay here. They were very nice on the phone when I made my reservation. They even moved me to a better spot as the heavy snow and ice on the trees made my original spot a clearance problem. The internet was great. Campground was not far from the expressway yet VERY quiet. My gravel location was quite level. My impression was that, during warmer weather it would be a very nice place to spend several days.

We had one issue with our neighbor who lived there stationary full-time (and had a boot on his trailer) Their gray water was leaking and it smelled in the thick July heat while we were there. They were moved away from us thankfully after we complained, but they were moved over to be next to someone else who I felt bad for. Apparently that leaking trailer has been there for three+ years and doesn't show any signs of leaving soon, so if you stay here just make sure you're not put in a site next to a trailer with a boot on it and you'll be fine. :) Everything else was nice, especially for the monthly price. The showers were fairly clean (just a little mildew), the several washer/dryers worked so long as you only filled them about halfway, the landscaping is very pretty, and everyone is friendly. The Precious Moments Chapel/Museum is pretty amazing, and all the Route 66 stuff nearby is fun too. There's not much else around, but it is all very peaceful and quiet. :) If you stay for a month, which we did, beware the high electricity costs though and conserve!
