It is dependable and in a nice, quiet area that does not have traffic noise. The first time we came here there was a female doe hanging out about 50 feet away just watching us. We see birds and hear nature, another good thing. The campground has a nice country view and the fellow campers are super quiet, and we sure do appreciate that. So far, no barking dogs have bothered us. We sure have experienced that elsewhere.Site 10 is the one we ask for when we have come as it is level. No need to put the things under our wheels to be able to work properly, all the sites along this row seem fine that way. Hook ups are fine, and most importantly, they are a year-round campground with heated water hookups. We live in the north country and having a place to de-winterize before heading further south is important and we stopped here in January to de and re winterize our rig. WIFI works fine here, cell reception is also good. There are a few nice restaurants in the area as well, it's only about 7 or 8 minutes from Rte. 84 as well. We have not used other features here but the pool area and other things look nice and well kept. Our experience has been a good one and we are happy to stay here each time while passing through.

This campground claimed to be the closest campground to NYC. When I looked at the map, I figured it might be a stretch. Well, it was - with traffic it was well over an hour from the city. The campground has two levels - a lower level and upper level. The lower level seems to house some employees or long-term guests. The upper area seems to be where the majority of the short-term folks stay. There aren't many trees so if shade is important, be sure to ask for it. The campground was OK but could have used some TLC. We were put in a pull-through and the sites weren't well kept. There were a lot of insects so be prepared. If you are visiting NYC with a car (or any big city), be sure to use SpotHero, or another suitable app, to find parking. SpotHero will find you deals and also displays the clearance height, which is awesome.

To start the sites are very un-level. My surge protector wouldn't turn on because the power at our first site fluctuated. Also the water pressure was too low to hose things down. On top of that, the park uses no insecticides to control bugs in the park and we literally had millions of carpenter ants descend on our campsite and RV (we own a very unique and restored 1986 Airstream 345) It took me 8 hours to hose off the bugs, find some bug spray and move sites. No one from the park office helped me move or clear the insects, nor did they provide me with bug spay or anything to kill the bugs that may have gotten into the walls and components of my rig, never mind the ones covering my AC units and vents. We also had dozens of stink bugs we've had to deal with. A neighbor said she had had the same problems. When I moved to a second site and kicked on the power ants came pouring out of the receptacles. After we got settled we had two trailers pull in next to us, one in the wrong direction so they're facing each other. They are chain smokers with the smell wafting into our rig day and night. This morning I woke up to find they had hung a huge TRUMP: Make America Great Again flag in view of our site. Most parks allow only American flags, so I called down to the office and complained. I was essentially told that my opinion was political and the flag did not offend the mangers point of view. Then the lawn mowers started on Saturday at 9am and I had to ask the mowers stay away because rocks were kicking up, hitting my rig leaving small dings. I've had to have Orkin come fumigate my rig, which means we have to get a hotel tonight. The manager of the park would not offer to have his people help us move sites or pay to eradicate the bugs from my rig. This is the worst Park we have ever been in. We are moving on early, so we don't have to continue dealing with this.

  • Nice RV Park, but the sites for large RV's are in the sun. Sites are not level
