Being full timers, we lived here for 2 1/2 years for work as it was way cheaper than rent in a town that is rapidly spiraling down hill.Sites are level and easy to maneuver in and out. Only some sites have 50 amp but they are currently in the process of installing new pedestals with 50 amp. Very easy access from I-25 off exit 147, close to down and restaurants / shopping. Public bathroom with showers. Owner and staff are all very friendly and have always treated us great. This is a snowbird transition park so it tends to fill up fast during periods in early springtime and late Fall. Also first Saturdays of April and October is open house for the “Trinity Site” on White Sands Missile Range as well as the guided tour every first Saturday of each month at the Very Large Array ( VLA ) in Datil, so the park fills up early in the week for those events.

We stayed at this dirt lot on Memorial Day weekend. Numerous permanent residents. We maneuvered under one of the few trees. It was so hot we couldn't get outside until after 7pm. Not the parks fault, but more trees would help.Single bathroom with shower. Everything worked. We'll stay at the City soccer fields next visit. All the RV parks in Socorro are about the same so we'd stay here if we had to stop again. The park is quiet and we felt safe. Two rows of FHUs were very tightly packed together so we opted for w/e only and had the row to ourselves. They let you pick your own site after you register. The office is a beauty salon, open until 8 pm. ...moreAll the RV parks in Socorro are about the same so we'd stay here if we had to stop again. The park is quiet and we felt safe. Two rows of FHUs were very tightly packed together so we opted for w/e only and had the row to ourselves. They let you pick your own site after you register. The office is a beauty salon, open until 8 pm. Lots of junk around, old trailers on flat tires, piles of tree branches, old cars, all around the edges of the park. Our spot was fairly level, room to park our Jeep beside it, the 30 amp and water both worked fine. Water tasted good as well.WiFi available but we couldn't connect - we were furthest from the office so might be better if you're closer. Access is two easy turns from the interstate, but very little road noise. Socorro has seen better days, but there are several eateries and a grocery store, lots of gas stations, and some service businesses. There's a Walmart (of course). Not a destination spot at all, but fine for an overnight.
