Quieter than most RV parks in the area since it's away from I-10

The guy who met us was a bit out of sorts – wanted to grumble about working so hard and long (I did feel bad for him but still). When I called to confirm our reservation, he said they weren’t open on Sunday. Hmmm, I made a reservation 2 weeks ago – no mention of not being open on Sunday. Anyway, he was there, and we got checked in. The first site, we had no power from the pole. He moved us to another site, and all was fine and good. Sites are gravel and mostly level. You are up close and personal with your neighbor! It is mostly long term with a smattering of overnight sites available. It was very windy and, hence, very dusty when we were there. The park is about 4 miles off I-10 so it’s mostly quiet with the occasional tractor trailer from highway 11. Verizon was 4g 2-3 bars but the signal was not very good so our hot spot was sketchy. Their WII FI was too slow to use. Satellite would not be a problem. On the bright side, we had one beautiful sunset!

It is also quiet here.WiFi runs right at 5mbps, and a very strong signal. The whole park is pea-gravel and very spacious between sites. Some sites have a concrete and partially fenced pad alongside where your rig would park. This makes for a great private space, but frankly it doesn’t seem necessary. Great facilities and very friendly and helpful host (Shawn).Call ahead and they’ll be sure you have a space.
OK for an overnight, but otherwise unremarkable.

This is pretty much a gravel parking area in the desert with hookups. They only rent sites monthly, so for overnight stays they request a donation of $15-$25. They only rent sites monthly, so for overnight stays they request a donation of $15-$25. We gave $20 but in retrospect that was more than it was worth (and more than the published discount rate for the park next door). We found the sites to be narrow, and although some have a patio and small privacy fence, ours was an annoyance, making the site even more narrow. The 50-amp hookup wasn't working so we switched to 30-amp for the night. The campground is 5 miles south of I-10 so it's very quiet there. Verizon LTE worked well, but AT&T was limited to 4G. We visited because of very high ratings on other review sites, but found this park to be unremarkable. We'll likely look elsewhere if we need to stop overnight in the area in the future.
