Stumbled in to a write up on this park.Went week before 4th of July 2016. The facilities are nice. Portapottie bathrooms are very clean. Camping is crowded near entry where there are some additional facilities. We camped in near a creek. Beautiful spot. No one within 100 yards. Fishing on Latir Lakes (4x4). Nice 14" trout. Outside main gate is Costilla Creek. Easy to fish stream. Caught several 12 - 14" trout on flies. Up the road is wilderness area. Small stream fishing and some small lake fishing. Very pretty country. No reservations. FCFS. 4 stars only because no reservations and no designated campgrounds.
