The smaller, wooded sites looked really cute and we'd love to be able to stay there, but our size would not allow for that so we had to stay in the open field, full hookup portion of the campground. There's no privacy between sites where we stayed, no pool, mini golf was $2 per person and that was....interesting. The brook running behind the campground was very shallow - not sure where people were floating on tubes in previous photos. Overall, kids were bored with lack of amenities but the new owners were nice and the campground was VERY quiet at night, so that was great.

We stayed here a few years ago now, but we absolutely loved the campground. Everyone was very friendly and helpful as it was our first time out in our travel trailer. Level sites with FHU around some of the seasonal sites, so during the week we were pretty much by ourselves!! The location is perfect to explore the surrounding area!

This site provided privacy out our front door. It was across from the dump station, but this was rarely used and didn't create any distraction in terms of sound or smell. The management/owner was friendly and professional. We checked ourselves in, which was quick and convenient. He popped through to make sure all was well a bit after we parked. This campground definitely has distinct areas, but all of it is well 'natured'. The RV/trailer sites (sites between the dump station and the office) are more 'open field' style lots and provide mostly FHU. This is also the area where seasonals seem to be dwelling, although you can really only tell this by way of many of these trailers having wooden staircases or a bit more permanent style gardening - this is definitely not a full-time housing situation. The park was incredibly quiet at night; the only noise might come from your neighbor's heating or AC system if you're near to one. The back of the park features partial-hookup and no-hook-up sites which are just plain lovely. They're all wooded, so solar wouldn't be an option, but they provide awesome privacy. There are trails exiting the back of the park which will take you into town or connect you with larger trail systems. Verizon & AT&T were not optimal here, but we were able to utilize Verizon when the campground Wi-Fi failed. That being said, the campground Wi-Fi was typically pretty usable - even to stream on. 100% would stay here again!

As a past reviewer indicated, the spots are very close with zero privacy. The people behind us were less than 10 ft from the rig with a campfire. Lot of people that appear to have been here for a while.Luckily there was another site available in the forest portion of the site. The difference was night and day. We went from being surrounded by RV's in close proximity, to being surrounded by trees in close proximity. After being moved our stay here was enjoyable. It was very quiet. The tent portion of the campground, runs right along the creek. The most beautiful tent camping sites I've ever seen. Only two washers and two dryers, fortunately for us the place wasn't that busy so we didn't have to wait long.During out stay the office wasn't open during the week. Just a bunch of check-in slips hanging from the door. We found this to be a bit unprofessional seeing as how the hosts/owners live on the site. I feel that during business hours, someone should be in the office area (since it's also a store and they offering things for purchase).Great proximity to Franconia Notch, and Littleton is 15 mins North and has all the supplies you would need. The internet here is awful, and never worked. The WIFI continually dropped off, from both of the sites that we stayed in. If you need this for work, I would certainly not depend on it.We would stay here again, but only if we could get a forest site. That is, any of the E&W spots on their site. DO NOT book a full hookup if you value your privacy.

The campground is near Franconia Notch State Park (7 miles to the Flume Gorge) and also only a one-half hour drive to the Cog Railway on Mount Washington. It is also close to Littleton, NH which was a very pretty small town. The sites by the stream are large and quite isolated and well kept. The only drawback is the WiFi system which does not function down by the stream. We were fine using our own hotspot in that location. All in all, one of the nicest campgrounds we have used.

From our first communication with the owners, we knew this was a special place. They have put so much thought into every aspect of their guests’ experience. We checked in at the parking lot and were even able to get a quick propane fill at the same time. We were led to our site and checked in to make sure everything was just right. Firewood we purchased at check in was delivered to our site just minutes later. We have been traveling in our class C RV part time for the last few years and this was one of our most peaceful, quiet campground stays. As stargazing fans, we were especially excited and appreciative of the fact that they ask guest to turn off outside lights after 10:00pm for optimum dark skies. Amazing! Especially with the Neowise comet in the sky! On our first morning we headed to the office to get some info on hiking, local spots for blueberry picking, and general area info. Karen and Gregg were so helpful and shared so many great things with us—making our time in New Hampshire so memorable! We can’t thank them enough and eagerly look forward to a return stay. On a final note, travel in Covid times has been a little scary, especially at some campgrounds where mask wearing was not enforced. Fransted did an excellent job making us feel safe, taking every precaution for protection. From the parking lot check-in, all staff wearing masks, to sign up for laundry use so that we had it to ourselves and it could be cleaned between users...excellent!!The only thing we will do differently next time is request a riverfront site with electric/water rather than the full hookup in the middle of the campground. To be able to near the sound of the water would have made this spectacular stay even better!

We lucked into one of the best sites here, and had no problem getting our 38’ motor home into it. Big living space with a nice fire pit and picnic table. We need blocks under our front tires, but that wasn’t a big deal. We had a 50 amp, full hookup, so we didn’t use the bathhouses. Some things were closed because of Covid, but the store and river were accessible. For check in, they set up a table outside and wear masks. We were escorted to our site, which is always nice. The River was a short walk from our site, it’s really pretty down there. The water was low, but some people managed to do a little tubing. The tent sites across the river are really nice! Almost made we want to tent! The sites we liked best were tucked in the trees, but those might be difficult for larger rigs. There are a few sites, off the main roads, that have trees and could fit a larger rig. Other sites are in a big field, not where I would want to be. My AT&T phone had 1-2 bars and sometimes LTE, sometimes 3G. In general, we had trouble with AT&T, but sometimes we could stream. We have a hotspot with an antenna, but it was connecting to Northeast wireless and then would just disconnect all together. Our Verizon hotspot, with an antenna, was showing 3 bars and LTE, but was also unreliable at times. Same goes for the park internet. We were constantly changing between them as one would stop working. My only real complaint is that they required masks to enter the store, but when we went in four people, I think they all work there, were not wearing masks. And, every time we went back, they weren’t wearing masks. But, eventually that won’t be an issue and won’t affect my rating.

Sites are large, gravel and level, mostly in a lawn area, a few tucked among tall trees. Each site has a fire ring and a wooden picnic table.Wifi is better in some spots than others, but where it is good, it works well. There is a baseball field, mini golf, a big pavilion, and games. Laundry and bathhouses are clean and laundry prices are reasonable. No charge for showers (pay showers are apparently common around here). They're serious about quiet hours - lights out after 10 pm. A stream runs through it and has a lazy river you can inner tube down when the water is high enough. The small town is about a mile away, with a few restaurants and a grocery store. Small store on site.

Our site was the icing on the cake…it was fabulous! This campground is an ideal destination for exploring the White Mountains and Franconia Notch State Park. It is an easy 5-15 minute drive to several fantastic hiking spots. Our site was perfectly wooded and private and the trees were well groomed for big rigs. There were also many camp sites in the center of a large loop that was open, sunny and tree-free for those concerned with satellite signals. The tents sites in the back of the park looked fabulous. The bath house and laundry were clean and tidy. Our family includes 2 tweens and a teen and we thoroughly enjoyed the variety of playground equipment and sport facilities (volleyball, softball, soccer, horseshoes, etc.). One of the highlights of this campground is the small river for tubing. The campground has tubes for the kids to use at no charge. This park scores very high on my rating list as is is very family friendly and they do not nickel and dime you for everything. We loved that the kids could play with everything for free anytime they wanted to. My kids had so much fun here that it was hard to get them to leave the campground to explore…but the area is gorgeous and one of the most beautiful mountain areas we have seen in 27 states! They have a small well-stocked store and an efficient family-run office. The customer service was amazing. This campground is well established and popular so make reservations early when you can.
