There is a line of boondocking sites along the front of the property, but I was able to get a full-hookup site. All full-hookup sites are leased to Escapees members, but any lesee not occupying his site can rent it out to other members. The property was well-maintained, spotlessly clean and quiet. The manager in the office was very welcoming, and gave me a hug! The sites are long, wide pull-throughs of gravel. The old folks driving around in golf carts and staring at my trailer were a bit creepy, but I guess they don't have much else to occupy themselves with.Verizon 4G was 2 bars, and voice worked, but data was intermittent, with only 0-0.1 Mbps down and 0-1.2 up.The town of Pahrump is not far away, and has a Walmart and other stores for stocking up before going into Death Valley. To get to Death Valley, take Bell Vista Road to Death Valley Junction. It is a good, paved road, and a much shorter route than the numbered highways.

This place fits the bill - with a washing station for RV's and Cars, very clean and super quiet. Not exactly the party pad - with the majority of owners significantly older, it was perfect for what we needed. Less than an hour from Vegas it was a great place to store the RV when we went into the city for a few days. The town has a Home Depot and a couple of grocery stores for stocking up. It is not the most happening town for nightlife.

Since we were only staying for two days, we never got out of the dry camp area. It is right at the entrance of the park and a little noisy. Everyone in the park is very friendly. This is a very quiet park. We were invited to participate in club house activities. The laundry room is very nice. Newer machines and $1 to wash and $1 to dry. You are permitted to use 3 machines at a time. It was $7 to dump. They also offer propane. Park is close to town with an Albertsons, Walmart and Smiths. If passing through, we'd stay again for a few nights.

  • Nice Escapees park.

Over the years we've stayed at this Escapees park several tines on our way to or from Death Valley NP. Sometimes we've opted for a full hook-up site and at other times we've parked in the boondock area for free. This time , on our way to DV, we stayed in a full hook-up site that was very nice, but a long way from the clubhouse, where one has to go for a Wi Fi connection, and the bathrooms/showers, which are located in the same building as the office. On our way out of DV we returned to the park but this time decided to boondock for free and pay the $7 fee to dump our tanks before moving on the next day. If you boondock you are quite close to both the clubhouse and the bathrooms/showers.The clubhouse has just about every amenity an RVer could want - WiFi connection, laundry ($1 to wash and $1 to dry), DVDs and books to check out, pool tables, a crafts room, a reverse osmosis water dispenser, coffee and treats, a big screen TV,etc. Residents are consistently friendly and helpful. Pahrump is a big enough town to reprovision if you need to. Albertson's and WalMart offer good grocery selection. My only complaint is that you can only get WiFi in the clubhouse and that can be inconvenient. We had 4 bars on our cell phone with AT&T LTE.

We chose this park because we were going to Death Valley for the super bloom, but needed cell service and a/c for the dogs. The only place in Death Valley with electric and cell service (Furnace Creek) was booked. So it's an hour away, but not a huge deal. By the way, Tecopa, CA has no cell service either if you're looking around Death Valley. We pulled in after closing and boondocked in the front dry camping spots for the night. The first night of boondocking is free. The next day we moved to an empty spot and settled in. This is a member-owned park, so people buy these lots and live on them when they choose. They are nice and long with extra room on the patio/camp side. Some have covered patios depending on how the owner outfitted it. We were right next to the large dog park in the back; there is also a smaller one in the front. They also have a car/rig wash area back there and an oil changing pit both of which have tools for you to borrow. That was awesome. Our car needed an oil change and we finally got both the vehicles clean. And laundry is $1.00 each with a good amount of machines. The front desk and most residents are friendly and say hello and stop to talk. It is Escapees after all, so we were greeted with and left with a hug. You're an hour away from Death Valley and an hour away from Vegas. We also used Kamp K-9 and Kitties, Too to board the dogs for an all day Death Valley trip which worked out well. The verde sauce at El Jefe was also agreed to have good flavor by our whole party for dinner. The Nugget casino has cheap tables if you're looking for a thrill.I seemed to have forgotten to write down our coverage, but both our AT&T and Verizon worked well allowing us to work.
