The park is probably 50% park models and 50% transients like us. Everyone was friendly and the staff were great at leading us right to our campsite. The interior roads are paved and we saw beautiful landscaping throughout. Rode our bikes on the tunnel trail all the way to Hoover Dam, and saw a couple of bighorn sheep scrambling above one of the tunnels.Plenty of shopping in Boulder City. Used our America the Beautiful park pass to enter the Lake Mead Rec Area. Paved bike trails in and out of the Rec Area. Very nice state park adjoins this RV park - and we saw many large sites that could accommodate big rigs. Only negative was no reservations - so taking a chance on getting a site there. Lots to do in the whole area - highly recommend it.

Lake Mead RV Park is a private park, costs more per night, but has full hook-ups and clean bathrooms/showers. I didn't use the laundry room. The sites are gravel but was pretty level. The sites alternate in directions, are really long, and are really close together, so someone with slides next to another with slides, would need to maneuver in such a way to not hit the neighbor. The service is great, nice staff. The VIEW is beautiful. Well maintained and clean. Cell phone service was minimal, barely worked. The wifi they offered did not work. The park was pretty easy to navigate. And you cannot beat the location. Make sure you take the Northshore Drive (HWY 147), it offers amazing scenery and when you come out at the other end you are by Valley of Fire state park, so make sure to visit that area, the scenery was beautiful, they do close the park during hot days.

All rock and gravel sites, old bumpy asphalt roads. Mantinance has not been done here for decades it seems. We came here for the full hook-ups, laundry, showers etc the only reason...The shower room was old, beat up with leaks under the sinks, 1 of 2 shower stall handle was upside down with either scalding hot or freezing cold and no in-between, again needs maintenance. We picked up trash on the grounds , I must have picked up 30 cigarette butts in our site #836 alone. We did meet so many nice residents here. And the staff were nice and helpful too. Just clean this place up and work on the bath houses! Not a recommended place...However the adjacent Lake Mead Rec Area Boulder Beach Campground ( literally right next door ) is much nicer (but without hookups or showers) And has beautiful trees and bushes even. We recommend staying here not at the RV Village section if possible.

Pros - Nice location and easy access to amazing bike trails. Cons - not much room between sites - our slides almost touched. Neighbour was connected to our sewer. Wifi didn’t work and there is no cable tv. I would stay here again only because of access to bike trails.

They let us come in before noon with no charge! We went right into the National Park area that showed up as a toll road on our RV GPS. It was no charge as we have the Access Pass. Campground (CG) check in was quick and easy. Since we were early they said we could wait for the escort who came on duty about 15 minutes later or proceed to our spot. We headed on to Lake View site 24 that was an easy back-in with FHUs. The utilities were spaced a bit far from the site and towards the back so I needed about 22’ of sewer hose and 25’ of electric and water hose. All of the lake view sites are made so you can either back in or pull in with utilities available on both sides. We had a beautiful site with great view of Lake Mead and mountain views. The very nice & helpful escort lady, Cindy, came by to ensure we were situated and gave us the unique rules like vehicles must be parked at the same angle as your RV (not crossway across the site) so the mobile home residents across the street can see the lake. The fire pit was at the utility side back corner of the site. They give you one WiFi log-in for free but you can call a number to buy a week's worth of data and ask to have it available for three devices for $14 a week. We hooked our Weingard Connect 2.0 into the WiFi and that ran our devices just fine. WiFi was fairly good for this size CG. They have cable with a lot of stations but some are admittedly a little fuzzy down on the Lake View row, but watchable. We checked OTA channels and only got four and they were also fuzzy. Great place to overnight or spend a few days like we did exploring Hoover Dam and Boulder City. If you like a great cheeseburger, check out the Pit Stop’s Pit Burger in Boulder City just up the road. They also have other goodies on their menu plus outstanding service! Even with a few hiccups, the service and views make this a highly rated CG for us.

The pads are set up kinda screwy in that the power is on the starboard side of the camper, but here is an outlet on the normal port side. Just took a bit to understand how it all connected. The wind does kick up here so be sure things are secured while in camp and away. Some awesome hikes all around the location and it's super close to the dam. We recommend doing the Train Tunnel hike which is about a 4 mile one way hike utilizing the old train system that was used to build the dam. Bring WATER!The only reason I didn't give this a five star had to do with a package I had sent to the facility, which contained my CPAP. Kinda need that. First, they said I couldn't have anything mailed to the facility... then they said okay. Then when the package arrived, the sent it back. When we inquired about this, they said we couldn't have packages sent to us. OMG.. so frustrating.Over all, it's a good camp site. Pads are far enough apart... good water pressure.

The WiFi went in and out so I used my hotspot a lot and the cable didn’t work for us. If everything had worked, I would have rated 5 stars. There are trailers in the row behind us with full-time residents. Not all are occupied, but I felt a little like I was intruding on their space when walking the dogs and playing outside with our toddler. There’s not much walking room other than the streets between the rows of sites and trailers. We met some nice neighbors who recommended seeing the Valley of Fire State Park, so we’re boondocking there next. This site is close to gas/groceries/restaurants, so overall it’s a good spot when you want hook-ups and convenience.

They share a website and the RV park makes reservations for both.. I think? I called to make a reservation and requested the campground but my reservation was made for the RV park. You need to be really clear that you are booking for the campground, not the RV park if that's the route you want to go. The campground has no hookups, the RV park has full hookups. If you don't need hookups I would definitely recommend going to the campground, it's much prettier. The RV park is nice and we had a view of the lake from our site. The sites themselves are a little weird.. super long and close together but they have you stagger with your neighbors so you're not right next to them. The front desk staff seemed pretty confused about things in general which is probably why there was a mix-up with our booking. But - everyone was extremely nice and accommodating. You have to pay an entrance fee in addition to the nightly fee but it's covered with a national parks pass if you have one. Great proximity to walking, biking, and running trails.

Clean park with paved level sites. Laundry room is a good deal at 1.50 for a washer. Also have propane fills on site. The park next door has better landscaping but no hookups. WiFi for more than 1 device costs extra. Get a site with a lake view because the rest of the park isn’t much to look at.

It's typically our first day or last day of a trip and it's selected because we know we'll need air conditioning this time of year. Otherwise we'd be at one of the boondock locations along the lake. Sites are generally level. We're in the back row, not far from the restrooms. Last time we had a back-in spot, but it appears they're not using those right now so the choices were FHU pull-throughs or "lake front" for nearly $20 more. Our price does reflect a Good Sam discount. Without the National Park Geazer Pass, I might not stay here, but since access to the NRA is free with the pass, this becomes our go-to place for transiting Vegas.I had a weak but workable signal on Google Fi (T-Mobile or Sprint, usually) and a good enough signal on my AT&T Mobley. One of the advantages of the back row pull-throughs is that they're close to the office and the Wi-fi was enough to get online as well. This site took one lego to level up but we didn't have to unhitch which makes it really nice for tomorrow morning's departure.

We originally planned to stay here only 3 days, but the weather was too perfect to leave. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Grounds are relatively clean, but there are lots of cigarette butts and the dump trucks seem to leave a mess when collecting trash- hence the removal of one star. The bathrooms were fine, we didn’t use the showers. Laundry worked well, but was often crowded (not too bad, but I had to wait for a dryer a couple times). The view of Lake Mead is nice and the location of about 30-45 minuets from Las Vegas was convenient. There’s also a grocery store in Boulder City. This area has a lot to see- Valley of Fire, Red Rock Canyon, Seven Magic Mountains, Hoover Dam, etc. WiFi worked well, but not strong enough for streaming. Verizon and ATT were fantastic with our cell booster.

Packet with everything in it was at the door. Camp host quickle met us to provide wifi access and escort to our site.We paid extra for the lake view. Sites were wide, concrete and could be back in or drive in. Picnic table as well. But warning---zero shade. It was 113 degrees and since we do not tow, we had to drive and left our RV in the Hoover Dam Parking all day-- our AC could not keep up when we hooked back up. Not the parks issue but if staying in summer--be aware. There are full time mobile homes here and other sites were gravel and a bit more narrow.Showers and laundry room were nice. Bathrooms seemed newer and amazing shower pressure. Bathrooms are keycard operated. The beach is a good walk away so we drive down due to heat. Water was about 80 degrees. Very rocky so have water shoes. Views and sunset were amazing. All and all we were very happy for this no frills campground. About 10 minute drive to Hoover Dam. The NP visitor center is there and a hike trail that comes out near Hoover Dam (if it is not 113 degrees). They were upgrading their wifi when we were there from Tengo Internet to Access Parks (i think that was it). When we got on --service was great and enough bandwidth for us to work remote.

Needed the services and Easter weekend reservation, but otherwise would prefer to be next door at less developed campground. Staff was friendly and facilities are fine. Again, for us a place to park and sleep. For anyone wishing to camp, go next door if you can for more room and trees. If it is important to you, be sure to face the lake in hopes of a better view.

Normally we're fine with the cheapest sites available, but the price difference was relatively small when renting weekly. The pull-in lake view sites face north-east which was a big help for us since it was 110+ degrees during our stay in June and this angle kept the sun off our big windshield for most of the day. The lake view sites are new and quite nice... wide, level, concrete, and with a gravel car parking area next to each site. The older part of the campground is all gravel, and with much smaller sites. Most of the park is filled with mobile homes that were vacant during our stay, though a few owners came out during the weekend. In general it's not a very attractive campground, but it served our need. It's a mile or so walk to the "special events beach" where dogs are allowed, but since it was so hot we drove our dog there each day (along a bumpy/rocky dirt road) instead of walking him. Just don't park too close to the water... there are many areas where the sand is really mud and you sink down quickly. The main beach area has a paved road and parking area but no dogs are allowed there. We did walk our dog daily through the heavily wooded adjacent no-hookup campground which was convenient given the intense heat/sun (the full hookup campground has no trees/shade). Boulder City is only a few miles away (up a 1,000+ foot hill) and has plenty of restaurants and stores. We got only 1 bar of AT&T LTE at our site but it was fast and reliable, and 3 bars of Verizon LTE which worked well (we didn't use our booster during our stay here). The campground WiFi didn't reach our site at the far end of the park. Tip: China Bistro in nearby Boulder City surprised us with how good their food was...

Gravel with concrete pads and picnic table. Fire rings are at front of sites because they are so narrow - probably the most narrow site we've stayed in. But because they are alternating direction pull-throughs you aren't side by side with your neighbor. They are good about not putting people side by side if there are other sites.Lake front sites are far from water but views are unobstructed and full site is concrete. These sites are also much wider. Ask for a lake facing site higher up and you'll still have a great view without the additional cost.Store closes at 5 pm so not convenient in the evening, staff are helpful and friendly. WiFi never did connect.Great paved trail takes you up to visitors' center 1 mile away, then Railroad Trail to Hoover Dam.

The woman in the office was brusk and perfunctory in our check in. She wasn't unpleasant but certainly wasn't warm and welcoming. The woman that offered to show us our site was very engaging, however. And we wished we had taken her up I the offer as getting into the site was a bit complicated. We drove down 11th to site 1104 and saw a bunch of 12xx sites. The sites are not well marked, but we puzzled it out. Hookups were well placed and we had a concrete patio and picnic table. Lots of cable stations, but they were all grainy. You can only have one wifi passcode per site, which turned out to be irrelevant as it never worked. Pulled out early in the morning.

The 'lake view' sites are indeed closer to Lake Mead, but the water level is so low that it doesn't make that much difference which site you choose - lake view or upper sites. There are lake views from almost every site we looked at.The full-hookup side is very clean and VERY basic; no trees or landscaping of any kind. The other side features dry camping sites nestled among beautiful trees and landscaping, one might say almost forest-like. On the FHU side my 42.5' motorhome fit easily... I'm not sure there's that kind of space in the boondocking side.Still, it's close enough to home that we can weekend it there pretty easily, which is really the only reason I'd go back and stay again.
