Since we don't tow, it was great to be able to get a Jeep rental delivered to this KOA and explore Glacier National Park. Highly recommend this KOA!

This RV park has all the amenities pool etc. It even has a small cafe and store. One thing I noticed is on their website they list the highest price sites first. I scrolled down and found a back in site with power and water that was in the pine trees. We actually preferred this to the drive thru concrete sites that had less trees and were more expensive. The park is a mile or so off the highway so no noise issues. It is probably 3 miles from the entrance to the National Park.

It is also very expensive, but we thought we knew that. We prepaid for two nights and when we arrived the snuck in a $21 "mandatory resort fee." I asked about where this info was mentioned on the website and they replied it is in a (sneaky my words) line under the advisory "other applicable fees may apply." I feel this is disingenuous at best. First of all, they were not up front about it even on our estimated receipt for the deposit. Second, the "other applicable fees may apply" is also misleading because the "may" doesn't make sense because it is mandatory.Unfortunately this is becoming very common at resort hotels and most of them too don't provide the info up front.

Property is fairly expansive, yet the bathhouses are very spread out and there is only one laundry room (which unfortunately had several broken machines). We paid for a “super site with grass”. We had ZERO grass. It was all rocks. Additionally, the sewer hookup for our site was at the far back, which means we could not walk out to our “patio” area. Site was not level, but the maintenance staff was very helpful and brought more gravel over to try and help with that. Signage within the park is also poor. All the roads are gravel do it just feels dusty and not very “resort” like. However, property is very close to the west gate entrance, which was nice and the front entrance/pool area is well maintained and the staff are all very kind. The grass we see did at other sites was very nice. They have some pretty tent sites (wooded sites). It’s an expensive park. If we ever come back to Glacier, we might consider a different campground.

But it was very nice, and very clean - they even provide you a nice gas grill on the site to do your outdoor cooking, which we took full advantage of!The drawbacks that lost a star on some our points were two key points: etwork access and consistency of water pressure to our campsite. The WiFi of this site was very hit and miss, and became non-existent very quickly as the site loaded up. My trailer is equipped with a PepWave Max and external WiFi/LTE-A antenna, which did little good beyond sending delayed emails or getting up pre-dawn to deal with work. Since the “Coverage?”app hand indicated full strength LTA and 5G in this location, we were extremely disappointed (I had a ‘working vacation with mission critical calls - the curse of managing in tech’) to have to resort driving down to Columbia Falls to actually get work done. The water pressure was VERY bad - I hope this was because it was the start of the season, because I’d get burned or frozen at times in the shower depending how the water pressure decided to act, even with a 50psi regulator inline. The water itself was clean and drinkable, so no complaints with the quality. The WiFi…? If you rely on this service in any form, please do NOT make it a deciding factor of your stay - you will be sorelt disappointed. In short, if you can deal with the water pressure issues, and are you not concerned about internet connectivity from your cellular or camp group WiFi options, it’s a VERY nice stay. A good way to “unplug” from the connected world and enjoy the sites.

So we had a lot of walk by traffic, and our neighbors were very close. We walked around the rest of the place and the Full HU sites looked nicer, but still really close and packed in. It was quieter back there though. They had live music, 2 pools (one for adults only), a hot tub area, basketball courts...really cool stuff for kids that we just would never utilize. But the park is clean, staff is friendly and helpful and you always know you'll get that at a KOA. We probably wouldn't stay here again, as it's just not our style. We prefer a little less noise and more privacy. Which, you just probably won't get at Glacier in the touristy months. Wifi didn't work (too many people on it I'm sure), but we have a Verizon jetpack that worked great, and we had ATT signal but it was a little slow.

Pulling in, there are beautiful hanging baskets here and there and some areas that a great deal of attention was paid to and others that are much more average. Our site was of the more "average" quality. We chose wanted FHU, so were given a "pull-through" site, but it is really only pull-through if you are towing a trailer. Motorhomes with tow cars have to unhook because the sewer is at the very back end of the site. The site was gravel and had a little fire pit with small benches and a picnic table that was in the site when we got there which meant we had to move it to pull in. Our site also had a bit of litter on the ground which was disappointing for $80/night.There is an adult pool, family pool, restaurant, ice cream shop, playground. We only used the family pool once and playground once as we.. were in the park most of the time. Both were fine.Verizon was II-III bars with a booster. Bandwidth was ok, but not great some of the time. The CG has wifi but we didn't try it.

But in this case, we were tired, it was pouring rain, and we were traveling with our favorite 10 year old who was frustrated and in need of some of the amenities the KOA had to offer. So we rented a little cabin and glamped for a night in the middle of our trip. Our young friend adored the pool, and upon finding a lot of other kids his age to play games with, he was in heaven. Must admit that we adults adored the heavenly hot tub as well. The adults-only hot tub option in addition to the family area was a nice treat. I would recommend staying here if you have kids or enjoy glamping, or if you need a retreat from "roughing it" in the actual park. The cabin was a worthy splurge. The RV sites looked nice enough but didn't seem to offer much privacy. I did not see any tent sites.

We had reserved pull through space 129 months ahead, but when we arrived, we realized that most of the “Super Sites” at $75/nite were packed in together with no shade and no privacy. We ended up switching for one of the back in shaded sites, number 53, for the same price. The staff were super accommodating about this. But if we came again, we would pick one of the less expensive “Back in sites”, 55-76, which are smaller, but with more bushes and trees, and more privacy...

Keep in mind you are in a high tourist area. They have a very nice pool, playground, and restaurant/ice cream shop.A few things to comment on:The spaces are very close together. We chose a landscaped site. While it provides better privacy, the plants, trees, and boulders make the site pretty narrow. My FIL is traveling with us in a 40 ft fifth wheel and barely got into the site and has very little area outside his rig. My advise, take a deluxe site which gives less privacy and more room. They have wifi but it doesnt have enough bandwidth to support the number if users. It's basically un-usable. We have Verizon and the same is true. I have 3 bars 4g LTE but it doesn't work until after 11 PM when everyone goes to bed.I would stay here again if in the area but choose a different site. We stayed here in a 30 ft travel trailer. My in-laws stayed in the site next to us in a 43 ft 5th wheel.

The grounds are immaculate and the sites are very level. Water pressure seemed to go in and out quite a bit to where it was pretty low pressure. We didn't have any issues with electric. There are 2 pools...1 for kids and 1 for adults, a hot tub, onsite restaurant and a large clean laundry. They also have propane onsite and a small store for snacks with a decent selection of touristy trinkets. We had 1 of the premium sites so there was privacy landscaping to where it didn't feel quite as packed in as most private parks. The price was quite high. The only negative is the wifi was completely unusable for about 90% of our stay and there is no cable tv available. There were a couple of OTA channels. They're getting 4 starts instead of 5 because of the high prices and lack of connectivity options which I think should come with those prices. For internet, Verizon voice was good but data was .33 d/l. Booster doesn't help so it must be network congestion here.ATT was good for voice and data 12+ d/l unboosted. T mobile data was non existent.Good walking around the grounds for the dogs and there were 2 small fenced dog areas onsite. Pro tip, they have small motorboat rentals at Apgar Village on the lake and they allow dogs in the boats. They were great priced at $25/hr for the rentals.Shopping for groceries etc was about 20 min drive in Columbia Falls. Nearby activities were too many to mention. You can hike, bike, and boat to your heart's content here. Don't miss Going to the Sun road. It was an amazing drive and you will see lots of wildlife.

This is a flagship campground for the KOA. The spots are relatively large, with nice picnic tables and a little grassy area. We lucked out and got the one on the end, so we saw some amazing sunsets.Internet was pretty bad, but phone reception was decent.
