You’ll love beautiful Clark Fork River with access. If you love trains this is a great spot. Only drawback, charge for showers.

It’s a beautiful small park terraced around a lake that’s home to herons. The other side of the lake, just a very short walk away, is the state forest and mountains. The sites are shaded but not densely so solar still charged. They’re on terraces overlooking the lake. Most sites seem to have nice views. The hosts made us feel extremely welcome. I’d recommend telling them the length & type of rig you have and whether you’re towing. Sites are large enough but some are trickier to get to than others. We had no problem with a 40 foot class A but turns were tight & larger rigs would be better in a different site, especially if towing. There’s sites suitable for everyone but letting the park know what you have will avoid issues. All in all a great experience and one we will definitely repeat if we come this way again.

We were in the upper loop and there was no Wi Fi here. Wi Fi is available in lower loop. Pond onsite, nesting Canada geese. Campground was clean and well maintained. Very peaceful/quiet stop. Reasonable space between sights. While I say quiet there are well used train tracks nearby but I didn't hear any at night. Short drive to town of Thompson Falls where local market was well stocked. Three point whitetail deer came near one evening. We really enjoyed our 2 nights here. Easy access for us as we're a pretty small rig. We saw 30 and 35 ft. fivers and Class A's.
