It was the front office with instructions for how to find our spot and where to fill our water. (That’s just because it’s March and it’s still freezing some nights so it’s not on throughout the campgrounds just yet.)Everything was easy to find, well kept and most importantly, CLEAN. The good news: We are on our first trip for this season! The bad news: I knew we would have some things to fix on the trailer The ugly: I didn’t know the toilet would be one of them ????The best possible outcome: Their bathrooms are SPOTLESS. There is a train that runs directly behind the campground but I’ve always loved the sound of a train so it wasn’t a bother to me. They are pet friendly and we have two fat black labs that had a great dog area to be free and handle their piggy little energies. Cell service is so so but their WiFi is pretty darn decent. Hubs had meetings this morning and his connection was strong enough to use live video even though we are at the back of the park! I would definitely stay here again.

Good location en route to Glacier, still close to Missoula for dining and supplies. We really enjoyed our stay! All the flowers were beautiful. Lots of tall pine trees, verges on feeling like a forest campground. Definitely not a boring concrete jungle RV park. Thanks Jim & Mary!

Great stay at this campground. Beautifully kept, enjoyed seeing flower beds. Very quiet for being on the road. Trains can be noisy but nothing to do with campground. Bathrooms are the cleanest we have seen on our travels. Very flexible owners as we had to change our reservation several times. Gravel, nicely leveled sites.

We tend to mix it up, as we prefer the peace and quiet of more primitive campgrounds, but then we also like full showers and washers & dryers. The campground is mature, which is to say the trees are older and larger, and the facilities are a little older. But, despite being a little older, they are clean and very well maintained. We stayed in other campgrounds on this trip of similar vintage that were not as well maintained. Here, at Jim & Mary's RV park, the pride in ownership shows. From the way the bathrooms were kept to the flowers planted by our site, this campground really is a gem. Even the wi-fi worked well for us, which we all know is a rarity. The fenced dog pen is great as well. The only slight knock is there is a bit of noise from Hwy 93, but the noise isn't that bad and the location is convenient. We would definitely stay here again. P.S. The rate shown is before a Good Sam discount. Also, after writing the review (and still staying at the campground) I heard the train referenced by other reviewers. It can indeed be very loud with brakes that screech. Our site didn't receive too much of the noise, but your mileage may vary.

They have a great, new, fenced dog area - not quite big enough for a big dog to really run but appreciated nonetheless. Huge lawn areas between sites, clean facilities, and lots of big trees. My only gripe about the park is that it sits on the main, busy, highway and also on some train tracks but I honestly didn’t notice too much noise while sleeping and the trade off for such a gorgeous park was worth dealing with it during the day. I would absolutely stay in this park again!

Short drive to Missoula. I got two bars of 5G with AT&T on iPhone and two bars 4G LTE on iPad and it performed well. I was emailed check in information and got a phone call about an hour before they were closing to be sure I was coming and to tell me where to find my site information. Even though we arrived 20 minutes after closing, the manager came out and gave us all the information we needed. Second, sites are large and spaced well apart. There were no issues of neighbor noise and we felt like we had better than average privacy/space. All utilities worked perfectly. Getting in and out was easy. Inside roads are wide and trees are plentiful but well maintained so they don’t get in the way. I see ‘moderate’ complaints about noise, which I’m very sensitive about. When we arrived there were no noises whatsoever for about 3 hours. About that time we heard and saw our first train - it was about 1/2 mile away. I was a little concerned but throughout the night we may have heard one or two trains lightly pass. Trains do pass but they’re not making any real noise around the park - it’s not at a location where the trains are using horns or brakes. I’ve been to a KOA in Arizona where the trains and their horns kept us up all night - THIS WAS NOT THE CASE HERE. Just wanted to clear that up. Great park, would be nice if we had a couple more nights to stay here and explore Missoula.

Unfortunately the site we were in was drastically not level front to back. Just being a night stop, I didn’t bother blocking to get level. Sites are much wider than average for a private RV park, and nicely landscaped with lovely flower beds and garden sculptures throughout the park. The park staff are very visible in the park, working on the landscaping and keeping the office fully-staffed. The bathhouse and laundry room were modern and immaculately clean. Utilities worked well, including cable TV. Our particular site did not have a sewer hookup and the staff worked with us to let us temporarily use a FHU site to dump since, weirdly, the park does not have a dump station. The park is about 8 miles from Missoula, so it was within easy reach of the many destinations that Missoula offers. With the weekly rate & Good Sam discount, we paid less than we would pay for nearby Montana state parks! The office staff was uniformly friendly and able to provide good recommendations for activities in the area. The only negative for the park is that the adjacent Route 93 is a busy and loud road, and there is also train noise from nearby railroad tracks. We did not use the park wifi since service on AT&T was plenty fast. AT&T download: 8.90 Mbps upload 9.99 MbpsWhen staying at this park, check out the Smokejumper Center near the airport, which is about halfway between the RV park and town, for very interesting insight into how these wildland firefighters do their job. And of course, don't miss the many interesting breweries in town. We particularly liked the tour at Big Sky (check website for tour schedule) and the beer and German food at Bayern.

The sites are large (long and wide), there are well cared flowers throughout the park as well as numerous garden sculptures. There is some train noise, but it typically did not disturb our sleep. A place we will certainly return to, when traveling through the area or if we want to return to the National Bison Range (about 40 minute drive north) or other area attractions. The only disappointment (and not the RV park’s fault) is the town of Missoula does not offer oversized vehicle parking spots, at least that we could locate. For a town that partially relies on tourism and has three RV parks, that is short sighted on the town’s part in my opinion (i.e., our $s and likely those of others with dually trucks were spent elsewhere).

They do a great job keeping the campground clean and updated. Even with the cooler weather, they were gardening every day and putting in fresh flowers. They even have their own green houses. Restroom facilities were clean and up to date. The laundry room had 4 newer topload washers (large capacity) and dryers. WiFi was slow. Park has FHU with both pull though and back in sites. Park is very quiet with the exception of nearby trains a couple of times a day.Be careful pulling out onto the busy highway.

This little gem of a park lives up to its claim, and then surpasses your expectations. The owners are avid gardeners and they take extraordinary pride in their property, assuring no matter which of their extra large sites you're in, you have something lovely right outside your door. The washrooms sparkle, the laundromat was spotless and roomy; and the gathering hall is furnished with comfy chairs for reading or socializing. During the summer, they host live music on site, followed by a free ice cream social. There is always something going on at the park and, if that's not enough, they keep a whiteboard posted detailing what's going on around the area.Clearly these folks want you to enjoy your visit to Missoula and come back soon.

The landscaping in particular is well done, flowers and trees everywhere, nice grass, clean sites and a clean laundry. The staff is very friendly, the sites are well spaced, bigger than most RV parks, Verizon service is fast and Missoula is an easy jump down the Interstate. The negatives are some highway noise, a train that passes above and squeals through the turn (relatively infrequent), a firing range that can be pretty active especially on weekends and the most expensive dryers we've ever used.Good spot overall, would definitely come back.
Clean, friendly, and good location. A little tight.

I know I should expect some tight spaces at an RV park, so take that for what it's worth. Other than that, the sites were clean, the bathrooms were nice, and the laundry room was big. The location to downtown was nice -- 10-15 min drive to anything you want to do in Missoula.
