We stayed at Rancho Los Coches for 3 nights and 4 days, Friday-Monday. This campground was quiet and our campsite was mostly level. There was a concrete pad/patio and a picnic table as well as full hookups. They provided an information packet that included a warning about ants in the campground, so we were careful not to leave any food that might attract them. We did not end up having any problems with ants or insects of any kind. All of the facilities were clean and well kept. The staff were very friendly and seemed happy to be working there. There are quite a few permanent residents, and their campsites were a little cluttered, but mostly with plants and decorations, not a lot of junk like some other places have. Wifi was usable for basic internet browsing and social media. We used the free wifi, but they have an upgraded wifi package for a few dollars a day. We were gettting 2 bars LTE on Verizon at our campsite, but the higher elevation of some of the other campsites may have better reception.
Beautiful quiet park, convenient location

This is a large RV park with multiple levels, so the spots seem a lot more isolated than they are. The staff is friendly, the wi-fi is excellent if you pay the small extra fee. The free wi-fi is usable but slow. The park has lots of large trees, so most spots are in the shade for much of the day. Most of the park is permanent residents, who are extremely friendly. The pool is large and well-cared for.The park is convenient to much of San Diego, it seems like it was only about 20 minutes no matter where we wanted to go, yet it felt like we were out in the country. This will be one of our go-to parks for visits to this area.
