I was checking out this campground in the evening because we could not stay in the same spot on the Y Lazy R RV Park in town, and met Clyde, the site manager, who gave me some more information. The campground is new, and it is up for discussion if it is open yet. We were very welcome to stay, but since their water pipes were vandalized, there is currently no water, you would have to bring it yourselves. That changes the price from $40 to $30 per night, which is close to what we paid at Y Lazy R RV Park for full hookups. They plan to have the water pipes fixed, and are currently working on making the park look pretty. We decided to move here because the views are better, there are no stray dogs, and here there are bunnies, birds and butterflies. It's just as windy, and the train and highway are just as close, although we are not bothered by the noise. The cellphone reception is slightly better, which makes for good use of the hotspot. The chain on the entrance maybe up, but is easily removed, because it is not locked. Just hook it up again when you leave. The terrain is pretty bumpy, drive slowly, and take the first road to the left, not the one going from the office.
