What a sweet little gem!We had called to reserve the campsite ahead (no online reservations available) and as promised, the owners called us the morning of our stay to give us instructions about arrival and our site number. Our site (6) was at the top of the hill, just across from the owners' private residence, and they were sitting on the porch when we arrived. They were so sweet and told us we were welcome to check in or settle in first - whichever we preferred. They even offered to let us borrow extra cord or hose if we needed some to reach the connections. (We didn't, but we appreciated the gesture.) Our site wasn't completely level, so we used our blocks, but we felt like we had tons of adequate space. It was the first time in our entire trip we had found a park with a trees, a fire ring, and people out milling about. It felt like home! We were able to make our fire and eat our dinner and then explore the grounds. They have a cute gazebo, a little pond, a big swing, and chickens! Though we didn't need it, we saw the bathhouse and laundry area and noticed they're making some upgrades to it. We weren't able to use the internet (it didn't work for us) but we had a hotspot, so we were okay. Cell service worked just fine. We felt safe and slept well and drove just across the street the next morning to visit the Little House site. We would absolutely stay here again if we were in the area. The owners indicated they are still making improvements, so we know it will only get better and better!

We stayed for two nights to visit family near by. It's a nice well kept park. The folks that run it are very friendly and helpful. Hookups were shared, but all worked fine. • Not a bad park for a night if you have a Passport America membership

Normally $30 a night for the full hook (pull through) site but with the PA membership it was 50% off for one night. Not sure I would pay full price to stay here but for $15 it’s a deal. Mostly filled with full timers and a very minimal RV park.Shared electric and water between sites so bring extra hose length and electric extension. Owners do have extra but I would like to use my own equipment.Limited AT&T cell/internet service. Was able to use campground WiFi but our site was near the parks owners site which I believed helped. Couldn’t get WiFi in the back in sites. Appeared to only be near the full through sites. Our site was not very level. Some noise from the road near by and full timers coming and going all night.

No Verizon coverage. Rustic facilities on someone’s farmland. Close to Laura Ingalls wilder museum. Kids enjoyed the little play structure. We shared hookups with our neighbors.

However we were let down by this park...power at our site did not work (luckily neighboring site was unoccupied so we used theirs!), water hookup leaked terribly, signage around the park was very confusing, showers were not clean, etc. We never saw anyone who worked there...until the grounds crew started mowing next to our campsite at 8am. Good thing we are early risers. We left with a rig and bikes covered in wet grass clippings. Ugg! We can not recommend this campground. On the plus side, it is right across the street from the Ingalls historic home site and is only $25 for w/e.

We stayed one night. We called ahead and we got to pick our site. The power and water is shared between two sites. The staff were friendly. The sites are shaded and clean. It is within walking distance to the Laura Ingall Wilder Home. There is a cave on the property, but we didn’t find it since we were there on a late Sunday evening.

We originally booked 2 nights here but extended our stay an extra night because we enjoyed it so much. This park is family run and it shows. They are putting in a lot of effort to improve the park. The family that runs it is very nice and helpful. It's located right across from the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum. We walked over one afternoon and took the tour of her home and walked through the museum. Neat place. The RV park is very grassy with gravel. Our site was pretty level and had lots of shade. Not all sites have full hookups so be sure to ask when you reserve. Some are just W/E. There is a creek that runs along the property that is cool and beautiful. Fun to splash in. Lots of trees on the property. There is also a small pond, a natural cave to explore, and plenty of areas to walk your dog if needed.A bathhouse next to the office has two restrooms, two showers, and laundry. We used the showers twice. They were small, but clean. The bathhouse is not air conditioned or heated so summer showers can be a bit hot and muggy and I imagine winter showers quite chilly. THE WIFI IS AWESOME! I could not believe such a small RV park had such great wifi. Thank you, Riddick family! The small town of Mansfield is just down the road. We enjoyed the local icecream shop as well as the pizza and pasta restaraunt. Overall, this is a great RV park. We will definitely stay again if we're ever in the area again.
