This RV site is adequate but be aware this is a small, no frills Park. The showers and bathrooms are not the cleanest but we did utilize them ...remember to take your own toilet paper and hand towels when you visit the bathroom. An equipment company near by starts early back up beeping (5 am) noise and there is some train noise during the day. Overall inexpensive and met our needs. We stayed a week while enjoying the Gulf Coast.

This is an incredibly run-down park with mostly permanent residents (junky spots) and way too many loose dogs and feral cats; it seems no one understands about dog leashes here. My little dog was constantly being terrified (me too) by dogs racing towards us.There is no staff, the office is never opened and the laundry and one bathroom are locked (didn't get the code). I called to make a reservation for 2 days and was told $14 with passport america; I wasn't asked for the membership card. Upon arrival I was approached by a truck while picking out my spot, I paid the stranger in cash and I never saw him again. It had rained and it was challenging to find a spot that wasn't so flooded that I could walk through it. The electric kept cutting out from my surge protector so either it was too high or too low, not sure which. I met a couple other travelers and felt safer in the campground, if I hadn't met them I would have felt uncomfortable. The one bonus is that it was only about 2 miles from the campground was the Gulf and the little town of Henderson where I got the best seafood lunch I've had in years (Shaggy's), then watched a beautiful sunset while chatting up the locals.Henderson at the Gulf was beautiful but I'd take a pass on this campground.
