This was our first visit to Snow Lake Kampground. We enjoyed the people. About half of the campground in seasonal and these folks were very welcoming. There was a parade of golf carts taking laps around the park, but it was not a nuisance. We stayed the week before all the activities began this season, so it was laid back and somewhat quiet. There was a bird dog competition down the street, so lots of campers were gone all day to that. Our only real problem was the entry to our spot was a bit tight for our 45’ fifth wheel. My husband chose to follow his own plan on how to get to the lot, rather than follow their instructions. He realized his mistake half way along his planned route, when we ran into a corner that was not going to accommodate our length due to seasonal rock gardens. He did some reversing and wiggling to get a better position on an earlier corner and all ended up well. There was a seasonal gentleman and my young adult son doing all the guiding, as I decided my marriage would be much better if I stayed in the truck with my opinions to myself. So I give 5-star rating for good bathroom facilities, lots of family activities (chess, pickle ball, shuffle board, etc), great people, nicely kept. They also have live music in prime season. I question the “big rig OK” on their description. The lot we picked (S41) was the largest one and was just long enough for us to use the toy hauler deck and still park the truck on either side of the camper. However, the lot was super thin. If we had any neighbors on our main side, it would have felt claustrophobic. We had a neighbor on our utility side the second day and that was okay. However, we were in their main area when we preparing to go and rinsing tanks, etc. While I loved the place and the people, we probably will not return because we are too large for this park. If I had a smaller camper, there were a lot of short wide lots that I would have picked. FYI, the restaurant is still closed since Covid and the seasonal were unsure if they would ever open it back up.
