Screaming fast AT&T internet (115 mbps) and T-Mobile (35 mbps) enough to stream and do work. Campground clocked in around 35 mbps down too with not many around Sunday night. Find your wood outside campground as there are many pvt homes selling. The bundles here ere $7. Also showers are 25 cents per 3-4 minutes. I would like to see more paved pads with cement patios for the price. Almost all sites are very level. Didn’t see anything that would give anyone any trouble. Some sites to the East end are dirt but with a view of a very nice meadow and farm.

Overall the place was quiet considering how many families with kids were here, but someone that doesn’t like kids might find it a bit noisy during the day. Quiet time in the evening was very quiet.Bath houses were available and positioned well to be a short walk from most sites. Showers are coin operated.Sites are not huge, but big enough. There was a surprising amount of shade, as the park is covered by mature trees, most sites had at least a reasonable amount of shade. Sites are very flat and leaves. The soil here is very sandy.Sewer hookup was conveniently placed behind our camper, but electric and water hookups were placed at the back of the site. My 25’ water hose wasn’t quite long enough to reach, but the camp store had a nice 50’ hose reasonably priced.Sleeping Bear Dunes and the towns of Empire and Glen Arbor are near by. Downtown Glen Arbor has a nice independent grocery store and some restaurants that looked great.AT&T wireless data coverage was solid. I was able to work remotely from the campsite without issues, including video calls. I didn’t try the campground wireless.

I was very clean, friendly staff, dog friendly, and quiet even on Memorial Day weekend! The campground was very close to Sleepy Bears Dunes (one reason we chose it) but it was also a quick easy drive to Traverse City. If you bring bikes bring them to the dunes as there is a bike trail (Sleepy Bear Heritage Trail), also if you are bringing pets we went to several breweries in the area that were pet friendly. We also took our pups on the Heritage trail and the Empire Bluff Trailhead! The campground has a burger food truck Tuesday-Saturday, the pool area was nice as well! They do have two sides to the campground one is resort site (more spacious and stamped concrete pads) that area was very pretty they were booked up that weekend so we didn’t get a site over there but anyone can walk around both sides there are gates to go over to that area. We stayed on the other side in a pull though site which had a concrete pad and was surround by trees. It wasn’t as spacious but we still enjoyed our site. If you’re researching a site at this campground they make it pretty clear that there are two sides, not sure why other reviewers were so bothered by that. I’d definitely camp here again!

We have stayed on both the 'campground' and 'resort' sides. Both are great, but we prefer the 'resort' side. The campsites are have more space between them and are paved. The pool was clean and our kids really enjoyed it. The owners/managers were good about a late check-in and were helpful with questions. The campground is off the road enough that you don't hear the cars driving by. Please note, this campground is not in the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. It is a short drive away, but you will need a vehicle unless you really like to bike huge hills. We use the campground as our base and go out for day trips. The location is convenient to Glen Arbor, Empire, and other small towns. We love the area and Leelanau Peninsula - so much to see and do. You could easily stay a week. I had cell coverage, but don't recall how many bars. The price is a bit high for a weekends, but the hookups and amenities are great. I believe this campground is for only for RVs and trailers. thanks

We rode our bikes to Empire (about 4 miles away) but you are on a two lane, 55 MPH state highway on a very steep hill (drops about 700' in the first 1/2 mile). For the premium pricing with zero onsite amenities, I would expect really nice sites However, they were small and narrow dirt sites. These were on par with a heavily used state park site.We left after four days even though we forfeited the other six days of our prepaid stay.

We left a day early after we stepped in dog poop 50 times, You do have to pay 25cents for a shower,. Only good thing is it's close to the Dunes.

We were unable to get a site at Sleeping Dunes National Lakeshore (just 15 minutes away) so we found ourselves here instead and were pleasantly surprised. Our kids were thrilled with the large, old school playground and nicely landscaped pool. We opted for the sites nearest these amenities. I appreciated the more generously sized sites than typical and trees throughout the campground. Only negative was the sites are rather sandy/dusty.

I blame it on luck though. The spaces very very clean and spacious that we needed two extension cords for our 30 amp that THEY graciously supplied. Again, we’re new to the trailer, to the camping game but the trash pick up at 10am...we feel spoiled. Campground for younger families and larger rigs though we saw some tent campers and 14’’ tiny rigs. Two thumbs up!

Although the map does show a shower/laundry building it is not complete (Aug 2016) and not usable. There is laundry on the campground side, although it is broken and the staff responded with a shrug when we inquired about the laundry facilities. There are rules for the equipment types that can even stay in the resort, no travel trailers, and motor homes must be above a certain length. The campground side (no stars) has no grass (although some of the pictures show grass those must be quite old), is very dusty, and cramped. The sites boundaries are not indicated at all, and the entirety of the majority of the sites is sandy dirt. The campground is also in a low area and surrounded by trees, making the dust and the smoke linger for longer than expected, and making the whole area shady and dark even in the middle of the day.The hook-up location is between every other site, so bring some long extension hoses/cords.If you have the required equipment go for the "resort" side, otherwise look elsewhere.
