There is a little bit of road noise during the day but not enough to bother most people. The laundry room has nice washers and dryer‘s which work well. Right now you need to schedule an appointment to use the laundry room but it’s no big deal. Clean bathrooms and showers open 24/7.

We were really dreading our trip to Martha's Vineyard during COVID with 4 kids. The hassle of the ferry, the traffic on a Friday... we were anticipating more trouble than the experience would be worth. However it was a lovely, relaxing trip during a decidedly un-relaxing time in our nation. Before arriving, we prearranged our check-in as well as firewood to be delivered to our site. We were at the end of row J, and we had a very large flat spot with plenty of trees, easy access to our hookups and a very easy time pulling in and out (we have a Sprinter Van). The campground has to be the best value ever on Martha's Vineyard. It is easily accessed from Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs. We came in at Vineyard Haven and easily settled in. We were able to bike into Vineyard Haven (with our 4 kids, ages 4-13) for ice cream. We took a beautiful morning trip out to Gay Head lighthouse. Two different days we drove over to Joseph Sylvia State Beach, which is a stunning stretch of beach with easy parking and a very short walk onto the beach from street parking (free). The water there is clean and clear, with a few shells and safe swimming for kids. We also went into Oak Bluffs easily and got take out steamed lobsters from Nancy's for a special evening treat. The campsite is DILIGENT about COVID. The bathrooms are impeccable, and the guests all respected the mask requirements. Bathroom sinks and toilets were closed for social distancing and were cleaned several times a day. There were also portapotties set up that were the fancy kind (with sinks, soap and towels). The playground was open and was wiped down during our stay although we still didn't feel we should use it.There were fun, family activities offered that again respected COVID boundaries including candy bar bingo and tie dying t-shirts. One really great thing is that the big campers/RVS are separate from the tents and small set-ups. This made the campground much more special and quiet. All in all, this was a spectacular campground - one of my very favorite experiences thus far. I would highly recommend a trip there - it makes Martha's Vineyard accessible to and fun for all!
