Shower was typical but smaller than usual with shared bathroom. The campground was small and had almost a trailer park vibe, but it was quiet and we slept well. We had a nice end pull through spot that was pretty level, some spots were better than others, would stay here again if I needed to get some things done, but one or two nights. The main town is cute and only 5 minutes away. Good food and drink and an adorable historic town square, all walking distance from one cute shop/cafe to another. Post office, groceries, hardware, etc are all 5 minute drive from campground. The campground is in the middle of a neighborhood, so that was kind of weird but we needed close to a town to take care of some "in town" stuff. Pro: It is easy to access from the freeway. Con: That means you can hear the freeway, though it did not disturb our sleeping.

This is a in a residential area so follow directions closely, when you turn onto Tunnel road and watch really closely for a sign that says campgrounds and a Good Sam logo, their sign is pretty small and blends into the area, the entrance looks like a driveway, but you will see some RVs right there so that is also a clue.

Carol took our call for a late check in. The power was fine, the water worked. The showers were clean and available. Very happy with our experience there.

We were on our way to Alabama from Ohio and stayed here. Talked to Carol and was super accommodating. Got a very level site and staff in office was really nice too. We will be back. Sites are decent sized. Had site 20. Pull thru site.

Playground was dangerously decrepit, muddy, no internet, no cable, lots of fellow campers were openly brandishing firearms... Definitely felt like we were duped by the seemingly positive reviews of this place!

Nice little campground with everything you need. Mature trees, small pond, fire rings, and full hookup site (#40). The only issue was the road noise from I-65. I didn’t expect it to be so noticeable. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Good sites but close. Had full hookups we’re fine. Pool was fun for grandson. Large grassy yard and playground. Friendly staff. Our son and family stayed in one of the cabins? Basic kind of like a wood tent with AC.

We were only passing through but the location is great and the wooded setting is very nice! We had a level site towards the back corner with a pond nearby. The staff was very accommodating even without reservations! We would stay again but might avoid peak times. Sites would be close if we had had neighbors on each side.

Nothing special about this place. If you like KOAs, then this is for you, minus all the KOA signage. There are some trees, patches of grass, and a small pond, to please your nature-bug, but that is about it. It is an easy hop into town, and the cell signal was great. The laundromat was nice as well.

And while it is a little older it is well maintained. Bathrooms were clean and showers were hot. We had a pull thru spot on the backside by the pond. The initial spot was pretty unlevel. We didn't intend to unhitch since we were just passing through so I went to the office and asked if it would be possible to have the site next to it, it was way more level. She was extremely nice and had no problem letting us move. The sites are gravel with some grass on the sides. Each site had a picnic table and fire ring. There's also a laundry facility on site but we did not use it. The pool and office are open until 8pm. The office also has a small store with drinks, snacks, camping essentials and a few gifts. Staff is super friendly. The campground was very quiet and even though there were quite a few people no one was ever loud. Wifi was very good as well.

Well maintained and clean campground. WiFi was good most of the time. Great place to base (stayed six nights) or spend the night when traveling through the area. Places to see and things to do include: Bardstown, Bernheim Abboretum and Research Forest, Patton Museum, Bourbon Trail, Wine Trail, and Louisville Zoo.
