I’m absolutely sure it wasn’t $0.As mentioned in other reviews, this is not an RV resort and is in need of some TLC. First, the good. The campground is extremely convenient to Bardstown and all of the distilleries that are the whole reason you are going to Bardstown. It is quiet and just the right distance from town. Not too close and not too far. The sites are mostly grass, but reasonably level. They do use the arrangement where your street side with utilities faces your neighbor’s street side and utilities. That leaves a very generous space between you and your other neighbor’s curb side entrance and awning space. The grounds were tidy and well-lit.The down side is you are sharing a single water spigot with a (leaky in our case) splitter. Water pressure was OK, but not great. The bathrooms and showers were clean and functional, but need (quoting Led Zeppelin here) a whole lotta love. As otherwise mentioned here, good enough for Bardstown.

The staff was helpful and friendly. We had a pull through in the older side with the trees. Site was level and the shared yard area is kind of nice. Better than always looking at your neighbors sewer line. Close to historic Bardstown, Bernheim Arboretum and several distillery sites to visit.

  • Great no-frills place to stay in bourbon country

A very utilitarian campground. Meaning it's good for what it is and isn't. It's NOT an RV Resort. It is a good campground with mostly big sites friendly to big rigs. It is a good campground with mostly big sites friendly to big rigs. It's not a high-tech experience getting reservations (I like on-line reservations) but has all the basics. A level site (for us at least), good electric, good water, and a good sewer hookup. A lot of the sites are back-to-backs meaning some pull in forward and other's back in. There are a few pull-throughs that they like to reserve for short-term guests. We were happy to get a spot here for 9-days after we could not get level at the state park in the same town. We met some great people while walking around. We'll stay here again if the need arises. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Motorhome

Our site was a nice little pull-in site with a huge shared "yard" area with the site next to it, these would be amazing buddy sites. No amenities to speak of, but you are close enough to town to get anything you need. There are two sections, the older one that has nice trees but some of the sites appear to be extremely unlevel, ours was ok. The new section has been cleared of trees and seems maybe a tad muddy, but the sites seem to be more level. The campground is ok, not great, fine for a few nights.

Family owned right outside of Bardstown, fairly level, open gravel lots, Open field, but warning you must be self contained because the bathrooms and bath house are closed due to COVId per the owner, at this time. 50 amp only, full hook up. Basic if you just need a place close to the bourbon trail.

  • Great location along the bourbon trail and friendly owner

Central location for sightseeing/Bourbon Trailing. The $35 reflects $5 off for Good Sam. Just a bit high for the value. We would stay here again.

  • Nothing fancy, but it gets you close to the bourbon.

The campground is pretty run down, as is apparent by the giant dilapidated sign at the entrance. A single-wide trailer serves as the office and all of the buildings also need some updating and attention. However, the manager was a very friendly and helpful gentleman who made sure we were comfortable immediately. Our site was perhaps one of the most unlevel sites we've had to date, but we did have a great private lawn space under a big oak tree adjacent to the trailer. All-in-all, we really enjoyed our time in the area and White Acres was close to the best distilleries, as well as an easy drive to Lincoln's birthplace, Mammoth Cave National Park, and all of the other quaint little towns in the area. Even though the campground itself was run down, the service of the manager made it a pleasant stay.
